[[Category:{{{type1}}}-type Pokémon|{{{ndex}}}]] Ninjask (Japanese: テッカニン Tekkanin) is a dual-type Bug/Flying Pokémon.
It evolves from Nincada starting at level 20.
Biology
Physiology
Ninjask are small Pokémon that bear great resemblance to a cicada. Ninjask’s body is mostly yellow with accentations of black and grey. There is a solid band of black coloration between their gleaming red eyes. The band pools into a circular pattern on their forehead between the pointed crests on the sides of their heads. The underside of Ninjask’s head is grey, and most of its carapace is black. Grey-colored, insectoid arms extend from Ninjask’s chest, usually with their small, yellow claws turned inward. There is a similar back pair of legs, however these are usually held close to the body in flight and thus inconspicious. On their back is a notable patch of black coloration with a stretch of yellow, shaped like an upside-down letter Y, voided into it. Most of Ninjask’s abdomen is black, but near the tip there is a band of yellow. Ninjask has large, veined wings with trianglar red tipping.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Ninjask is one of the fastest Pokémon to date. Because of its blinding speed, it was once thought to be invisible. Ninjask is so fast, it is said to be able to avoid any attack. Hearing Ninjask’s distinctive cries for too long induces a headache.
Behavior
If Ninjask is not trained properly, it will refuse to obey the Trainer and cry loudly continuously. Because of this quality, this Pokémon is said to be one that puts the Trainer's abilities to the test.

Trivia
- Ninjask has the second highest Speed of any Pokémon in the games. It is surpassed only by the Speed Forme of Deoxys. However, Ninjask's Speed Boost ability allows it to potentially become faster than Deoxys in battle.
- Ninjask cannot learn any Template:Type2 moves via level-up despite it being Flying-type.
- Even though Ninjask is depicted as being a blindly fast Pokémon, it cannot learn the move ExtremeSpeed. In fact, it can't learn any increased priority moves that do damage.
Origin
It may have been based on a fully adult cicada.
Name origin
Ninjask's name may be a combination of ninja and mask. Its Japanese name may be a combination of 鉄火 tekka, gunfire, and ninja.
