Synopsis

Our story begins like many others as Ash Ketchum and his friends are heading for Fallarbor Town, but as they are travelling, they meet up with their old friend, Misty.

After Team Rocket reveals themselves, furious Misty thinks Jessie and James are trying to steal Pikachu from Ash, like they always try to do but always fail. Team Rocket tells Ash and his friends they're not here for Pikachu, but Togepi instead!

Trivia

  • This was the first episode to debut Misty's Advanced Generation outfit.
  • Despit Ash and his friends were at Mirage Kingdom, this is a reference to Pokémon Emerald's Mirage Tower. Even though this episode was aired before Pokémon Emerald was released, this is a possible reference to the game.
  • This episode along with the next episode are the only episodes in the Hoenn region where Ash and his friends ever went to the desert for the entire series.
