Flail (Japanese: じたばた Wriggling) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation II.
Effect
Flail inflicts damage and will inflict greater damage when the user's HP is low. The power of Flail is calculated as follows:
User's remaining HP | Power |
---|---|
71% - 100% | 20 |
36% - 70% | 40 |
21% - 35% | 80 |
11% - 20% | 100 |
5% - 10% | 150 |
1HP - 4% | 200 |
Generation V
Flail's power is calculated by the following formula:
P = (48 * CurrentHP) ÷ MaxHP
P | Power | ~HP% |
---|---|---|
P > 32 | 20 | > 66% |
17 ≤ P ≤ 32 | 40 | 33% - 66% |
10 ≤ P ≤ 16 | 80 | 20% - 33% |
5 ≤ P ≤ 9 | 100 | 10% - 20% |
2 ≤ P ≤ 4 | 150 | 3% - 10% |
P ≤ 1 | 200 | < 3% |
