Gastrodon (Japanese: トリトドン Toritodon) is a Water/Ground-type Pokémon.
Gastrodon have two different appearences - one if caught on the west of Sinnoh, another if caught on the east.

- According to an interview in Nintendo Power with Ken Sugimori, Shellos and Gastrodon were originally designed for Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, but were not implemented in the final design.
Origin
Gastrodon is based on sea slugs.
Name Origin
Gastrodon's name is derived from "gastropod", the zoological category slugs and snails belong to, and "don", a Spanish honorific meaning leader or king.
