Ult's Sableye (Japanese: ウルトのヤミラミ Uruto's Yamirami) is Ult's first known Pokémon. It is Ult's main battling Pokémon, and is usually outside its Poké Ball.
History
Pre-series
It is currently unknown how and when Ult met and captured Sableye, but Sableye had been by Ult's side since he was living in the alleys in Lumiose City. At one point, they were approached by Emma and allowed to live with her. Sableye would help Ult out on his tasks as a volunteer street cleaner, and keep finding various curiosities. Sometime before Ult met Master Mayonnaise, Sableye discovered a Sablenite.
Pokémon Horizons: The Series
Ult and Sableye ran into Roy, Crocalor, and Captain Pikachu, who had arrived in Lumiose City to train. They approached Master Mayonnaise, who explained Mega Evolution to them and gifted them a Mega Ring. After discovering that Ult and Sableye already had a Sablenite, Master Mayonnaise directed them to the Lost Mayo Maze to train more. After entering the Lost Mayo Maze, Roy, Crocalor, Ult and Sableye battled the Yellow Flash but lost. The next day, Ult and Sableye tried to Mega Evolve, but to no avail. Sableye faced Crocalor in a practice battle, but lost. Master Mayonnaise made Ult realize that Ult did not fully believe in Sableye, as he would rely on the unknown Pokémon inside his Dusk Ball to help out in the worst case. He also made them realize that Ult would ignore Sableye sometimes, such as when Sableye had noticed a pit or a secret entrance inside the Lost Mayo Maze. After the Yellow Flash reappeared, Roy, Crocalor, Ult, and Sableye followed it back inside the Lost Mayo Maze, where Ult trusted Sableye and allowed it to lead the way. Sableye led them to a room with Count Hoisin and Shōyu, and battled against Count Hoisin's Escavalier and Shōyu's Accelgor. Ult realized that Sableye also wanted to become the strongest alongside him, and Sableye was then able to defeat Accelgor. Afterwards, Sableye battled Yellow Flash again alongside Crocalor. Ult synced up his feelings with Sabeleye, resulting in it Mega Evolving into Mega Sableye for the first time. Despite the power-up, Sableye was defeated by Yellow Flash. After Roy defeated and caught the Shiny Lucario, Ult and Sableye followed them on their journey and were seen Mega Evolving to battle against a wild Pangoro and Pyroar.

In Eyes to the Skies Once Again, Part 1, Ult and Sableye followed Roy as he tracked a Slaking that had been affected by the Laquium. When Slaking started attacking, Ult Mega Evolved Sableye and it teamed up with Roy's Lucario and Captain Pikachu and were able to bring it down.
In The Strong Sphere, Sableye accompanied Ult to the Exceed-sponsored event at Exceed's Test Center located in Mochew City. When Coral's Glalie attempted to attack Liko and Roy's downed Crocalor and Meowscarada, Sableye stopped its attempt with Shadow Sneak and saving its friends. Angered by the interruption, an enraged Coral ordered Glalie to use Self-Destruct to take out Sableye but it managed to withstand the hit without damage due to its Ghost-type immunity over the Normal-type move, allowing Ult, Liko, and Roy to escape from the facility.
In Friends as Two, Me and You, Sableye and Ult were captured by Spinel and the Explorers at an Explorers base. After being saved by its Trainer, Sableye fled to meet Roy, and guided him back there. Sableye then battled with Roy's other Pokémon against Indy and Rubella's Pokémon, and when all seemed lost, the group was saved by Ult's Dragonite, which used Mega Evolution for the first time under Ult's command.
In The Six Heroes Unleashed!, Sableye was used was used alongside the rest of Ult, Liko, and Roy's Pokémon to battle against five of the Six Heroes, who were under the influence of the Super Strong Spheres. Together, they stalled for time to allow Pagogo to purify the Laquium away from the heroes' bodies, but the Explorers used the Super Strong Spheres once more on them. In the next episode, despite its efforts, Sableye got knocked out by Lucius's Gouging Fire when it attempted to protect Ult from the Paradox Pokémon.
In HZ117, Sableye was used in Ult's battle against Lacey, only to be defeated when she Terastallized her Excadrill, making it a Fairy-type and hitting Sableye with Tera Blast.
In HZ124, Sableye teamed up with Captain Pikachu and Roy's Lucario to help Ult, Roy, Amethio, and the girls mission to save the remaining Six Heroes from the Explorers, as they battle the grunts. Despite the three defeating the grunts, Sableye came in no shape to continue the mission.
In HZ133, Sableye Mega Evolved alongside Roy's Lucario and Instructor Starmie to battle against the Explorers Admin's Mega Evolved Pokemon. Sableye and Starmie focused on Aerodactyl and Glalie while Lucario focused on fighting Medicham. In the next episode, Sableye almost got hit by Glalie's Refrigerate-boosted Self-Destruct, but Instructor Starmie took the hit for it. Due to most of the Pokemon being knocked out, Sableye with its group won the battle.
In HZ135, Sableye participate in stoping the Explorers from interfering in their attempts to erase the Laquium once and for all. However, after Spinel merged with the Laquium Core and awaken it, Sableye tried to stop it, but was defeated and returned to its Poké Ball to rest.
Personality and characteristics

Sableye has a very strong bond with Ult and seemingly shares its Trainer's energetic nature and slight tendency to annoy others, relentlessly bothering Roy's Crocalor with challenges for a battle much like Ult kept bothering Roy with a battle challenge. It also seems to share Ult's moral code, disgusted with the Explorers' use of Strong Spheres during their event at the Exceed's Test Center in Mochew City, and likewise defended Crocalor and Liko's Meowscarada when Coral's Glalie was about to attack the two-downed Pokémon after their battle.
True to its species, Sableye has a diet that consists of rocks and raw gemstones. Because of this, Sableye has a running gag of attempting to eat Pagogo whenever it has the chance, much to Liko's dismay. Sableye's relationship with Roy's Lucario seems to be an interesting one as the two of them often battle and work well together, especially when they Mega Evolve, likely due to them training together in Kalos alongside their Trainers. Also, like their Trainers, they can be at odds with each other and Sableye would get annoyed with Lucario teasing it, but does share a fist bump with the Aura Pokémon after working together to win a battle. Although, as time passed, Sableye and Lucario's friendship has improved, as they don't seem to clash with each other than they used to.
Like how its Trainer admires Friede, Sableye has come to admire Instructor Starmie for its skills in battle and compassion for others, as seen in HZ133.
