Navi's Ditto (Japanese: ナヴィのメタモン Navi's Metamon) is Navi's main Pokémon. Ditto is also her first Pokémon and the first one she caught after meeting the Rising Volt Tacklers. It is often outside its Dream Ball.

History

As a wild Pokémon

Ditto transformed into "Mini Nidothing" participating as a guest alongside the real Nidothing and her Pokémon

In HZ138, a wild Ditto stowed away aboard the Brave Olivine. It spied on the Rising Volt Tacklers as they were about to depart with their airship, and then used Transform to change into Captain Pikachu, tricking Roy and sneaking aboard. In the next episode, it officially became part of the Rising Volt Tacklers.

In HZ140, Ditto transformed into Nidothing during Dot's live stream, which was a big hit and fans start calling it Mini Nidothing. Ditto was brought to a local bread festival for a Nidothing event Dot was doing. However, Ditto becaem seperated from the group as it was transforming into various objects to help anyone in need. Fortunately, Ditto was found by Liko, Roy, and Ult, as it was brought to the stage and transformed into Mini Nidothing to perform with Dot as Nidothing and her Pokémon, which was a big hit.

Ditto being picked to be Navi's first Pokémon

In HZ142, Ditto meets Navi and bonded with her after accidentally startling her and making her spill her coffee milk. Noticing that Ditto enjoyed the drink, Navi gave the rest to Ditto, which it became grateful for. As Navi rushed out and bumped into Murdock, Ditto watched her drop her beloved Dream Ball in front of it. That night, it was revealed to have the Dream Ball in its possession, and knowing how important the Dream Ball was to Navi, it became determined to find her and return it.

In the next episode, Ditto left the airship in order to return Navi's Dream Ball. After exploring the city, Ditto was able to find her. Ditto and Navi then spent the day playing together and bonding with each other even more over their shared love of adventure and making others happy. However, Ditto had to leave with the Rising Volt Tacklers, becoming incredibly depressed to part with Navi, but upon seeing her desperately chase after the Brave Olivine, it transformed into Dragonite in order to get back to her. Navi voiced her resolve about finally finding a Pokémon that chooses her, and thus finally fulfilling her dreams, and asked Ditto to stay by her side, which it happily reciprocated. Ditto was then caught by Navi with her Dream Ball and officially became her partner.

Personality and characteristics

Navi and Ditto

Ditto is shown to be playful, curious, and affable around other Pokémon. It is also emotionally aware as it saw Meowscarada crying and posed as Liko's wooden Squawkabilly statue while the Pokémon worked to get the real one back. In HZ140, it is further shown that Ditto likes to transform into different things to make sad or troubled people happy, showing its compassion and empathy towards others. Ditto also enjoys adventures, which played a part of joining the Rising Volt Tacklers.

Upon meeting Navi, Ditto quickly bonded with her and wanted to return her Dream Ball she dropped when she ran into Murdock. After it returned Navi's Dream Ball, Ditto bonded with her more, especially when it finds out that they share the same personality, such as helping anyone in need and enjoyment of going on adventures. Through this kinship, Ditto picked Navi to be its Trainer, as it Transformed into Dragonite so it can go back to her when it was leaving with the Rising Volt Tacklers. Ditto's close bond with Navi is shown when it would sit on her shoulder or head, although it is sometimes held in her arms. It also hangs out in Navi's bag. Like its Trainer, Ditto is inexperienced in Pokémon battles, and the moves it uses while transformed tend to be weak and ineffective, requiring it to be resourceful with its tranformations.

Unlike most of its species, Ditto retains its original face and size when transforming. In addition, it also tends to retain the shiny, squishy texture of its skin.
