The Shiny Rayquaza (Japanese: レックウザ Rayquaza) is an Legendary Super-ancient Pokémon from the Hoenn that was summoned from inside Roy's Ancient Poké Ball. It was belongs to the ancient adventurer Lucius.
In the anime
History
Pre-series
According to legends, around a hundred years ago, Rayquaza was Lucius' main Pokémon, together they traveled around the world and found five other Pokémon who joined this journey. Together they sought a lost paradise, which at some point at the end of these adventures, they found and created a legend with the stories of these trips.
At some point in the past, Rayquaza's Poké Ball appeared on an isolated island in the Kanto region, and was then found by the young man who years later would be Roy's grandfather.
It is first appeared in The Ancient Poké Ball after being released from Roy's Ancient Poké Ball. Liko and the others are shocked at Rayquaza's appearance before it used Draco Meteor on everyone else. Before leaving, Rayquaza stares and met Liko for the first time as it flies away to somewhere.
It was mentioned in HZ009 when Liko's father Alex said that Black Rayquaza is heading towards Artazon. Then it was mentioned again by Brassius in HZ010 that Rayquaza is arriving at Arboliva Forest where an giant Arboliva lives. It was revealed in HZ012 that Rayquaza is Lucius's main Pokémon.
In HZ020, Kabu revealed to have seen Rayquaza, soon after, the legendary Pokémon went towards the west of Motostoke.
In HZ026, Dot revealed that Rayquaza has been seen in several places in the Galar region.
In HZ033, Rayquaza witnesses Terapagos's Terastal Form and is amazed by it before it flies away again.
Personality and characteristics
Despite originally assaulting Rising Volt Tacklers and Explorers, Rayquaza was proven to be a rather friendly Pokémon as it stared at Liko.
