UB Challenge

A UB Challenge stage for Buzzwole.

A UB Challenge (Japanese: ウルトラチャレンジ Ultra Challenge) is a type of special stage in Pokémon Shuffle that features Ultra Beasts. These stages only appear if the player has completed main stage 200. Additionally, the player must pay Coins ×20,000 to unlock the stage for up to 10 plays; each play costs Heart ×1.

No items are allowed in these stages. Exp. Booster L ×5 will be awarded the first time an Ultra Beast is defeated.

For the game's end of service period, UB Challenges began running on a consistent 24-week schedule, with a UB Challenge starting every third week (with the exception of week 24), and lasting for one week. During the game's live service period, there were 6 different UB Challenge events, and the item rewards for clearing them tended to change when a stage was reran. The end-of-service events are nearly identical to the live versions, though the item rewards have been made uniform, and Pheromosa was added to the lineup.

These stages are available on a rotating basis during the game's end-of-service period, repeating every 24 weeks.

• While no UB Challenge runs during week 24, an Ultra Challenge for Necrozma does run during that time. This may be a reference to Necrozma frequently being compared to Ultra Beasts.
