This move effect may be in need of research. Reason:Does the counter only increase if the move is used while the Pokémon holds the Metronome? Is the counter reset if the Pokémon's Metronome is stolen? You can discuss this on the talk page.
Boosts the power of a move used consecutively by the holder. The Metronome boosts the power of a move by 10% (in Generation IV) or 20% (from Generation V onward) for each previous, consecutive turn it has been used successfully, up to a maximum increase of 100%. If the Pokémon is switched out, uses a different move, or uses the move unsuccessfully (such as targeting into protection or into an immunity), the bonus is reset to 0%.
Since the Metronome counts the number of uses of a move, multistrike moves only increase the counter once per use regardless of the number of strikes. This also applies to moves that last multiple turns such as Rollout and Thrash; they will only increase the counter for the initial use on the first turn.
If a Pokémon uses a move that calls another move, the move that it turns into is what's taken into account when determining whether the bonus should accumulate or reset.
If a Pokémon uses a move with a charging turn, that move is considered to be successfully used during the charging turn, and will accumulate a boost that applies to the attacking turn.
Generation IV
The Metronome boosts the power of a move by 10% for each previous, consecutive turn it has been used successfully, up to a maximum increase of 100% (which requires using the same move 11 or more times in a row).
Generation V onward
The Metronome now boosts the power of a move by 20% (+819/4096) for each previous, consecutive turn it has been used successfully, up to a maximum increase of 100% (which requires using the same move 6 or more times in a row).
Boosts the power of a move that is used repeatedly. This boost will be 20% on the second usage, 40% on the third, and so on, up to a maximum boost of 100%. If the streak is broken, the move's power returns to its usual value.
