The Pokémon franchise first reached Lithuania in December 24, 2005 with the airing of EP001.
Pokémon video games
The games are released in Lithuania at the same time as all other European countries. They are not localized to Lithuanian, but are in English. Since 2000, the sale of NIntendo products has been handled by Bergsala AB.
Pokémon anime
The Pokémon anime started to air in the Lithuanian language at 14:55, December 24, 2005 (UTC+2) on the Lithuanian channel BTV. The series aired from EP001 up to AG040, for many times over the subsequent years. For unknown reasons, the anime stopped airing episodes after AG040, but it resumed after a lengthy hiatus with the release of the Sun & Moon series at Netflix on April 1, 2018. The episodes between AG040 and SM001, as well as after SM043, have never been aired or dubbed.
In Lithuania, the anime is available on Netflix.
Pokémon movies
The first seven Pokémon movies aired on different channels, though the air-dates are unknown and have since been lost. M02 was released under the title Pokemonai: 2000-ųjų Filmas; M04 under the title Nemirtingasis Pokemonas; M05 under the title Pokemonai Didvyriai: Latijus ir Latija; M06 under the title Pokemonai: Džirači - Norų Pildytojas; and M07 under the title Pokemonai: Deoksio Likimas. The titles for M01 and M03 are unknown. A Lithuanian version of Detective Pikachu was also shown in cinemas on May 10, 2019.
