Evolution
Trivia
Origin
It may be based on a demon of Japanese lore, the 雷獣 raijū, an elemental lighting creature that can take on the shape of various mammals.
Name origin
Manectric's name can be broken down into mane and electric. Its Japanese name may be a combination of livewire, a wire carrying an electric current, and volt. The name may also be a combination of 雷 rai, thunder, and bolt. The French refers to both its power over electricity and its speed.
