Deoxys (Japanese: デオキシス Deoxys; German: Deoxys; French: Deoxys) is a Psychic-type Pokémon.
Deoxys has four forms - a neutral form found in Ruby/Sapphire/Colosseum, an attack mode found in FireRed, a defense mode found in LeafGreen and a Speed mode found in Emerald.
Deoxys has the ability pressure, which causes opponents to use 2 PP per move.
Deoxys evolves neither to anything, nor from anything.
Deoxys' signature move is Psycho Boost.
Pokédex entries
- Pokémon Ruby

- Pokémon Emerald
- A Pokémon that mutated from an extraterrestrial virus exposed to a laser beam. Its body is configured for superior agility and speed.
- Pokémon FireRed
- This Deoxys has transformed into its aggressive guise. It can fool enemies by altering its appearance.
- Pokémon LeafGreen

Name origin
Deoxys's name is an abbreviation of deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA, the medium of genetic code in many cellular organisms.
It appears to draw inspiration from certain representations of aliens. Considering its viral nature and its ability to mutate, not to mention its location on a southern island, it may have been loosely based on the Missingno. glitch.
