Blue Apricorns appeared in Going Apricorn!, where Kurt sent Ash, Misty, and Brock to harvest some Apricorns. After many failed attempts at picking Apricorns, the group managed to pick two Blue Apricorns and a Black Apricorn, which Kurt later turned into a pair of Lure Balls and a Heavy Ball for them.

Pokémon Adventures
In Yikes, It's Yanma!, an Apricorn lottery was used to randomly decide which pairs of Gym Leaders from Kanto and Johto would face each other in an interregional exhibition tournament at Indigo Plateau. Brock and Jasmine got a Blue Apricorn each.
Trivia
- Ice Berry trees in Generation II are replaced by Blue Apricorn trees in Generation IV.
- The Ylw Apricorn and Blu Apricorn swapped index numbers between Generation IV and Generation V. They are the only items to do so between those two generations.
