Norman's Slaking (Japanese: センリのケッキング Senri's Kekking) is Norman's main Pokémon in the anime and his most powerful Pokémon.
In the anime
History
Advanced Generation series
Slaking made its debut in Love, Petalburg Style!, in which it was staying in Norman's greenhouse with the rest of his Pokémon. It slept through nearly the entire episode.
Later, when Team Rocket destroyed a fireworks machine that Norman was keeping for his wedding anniversary, he flew into a rage and thus summoned Slaking from inside the greenhouse. On Norman's command, it charged at the terrified Team Rocket members and violently sent them blasting off with a powerful Focus Punch.
Norman later used it in the Gym battle against Ash in Balance of Power, where it was shown to be a powerful fighter. With its brute strength, it almost defeated Ash's Grovyle. However, when Grovyle's Overgrow Ability activated, it managed to gain the upper hand and Slaking was defeated.
It reappeared in flashbacks in Whiscash and Ash and AG120.
Diamond & Pearl series
It was last seen being groomed by Max in one of May's flashbacks in A Full Course Tag Battle! and seen watching the finals of the Wallace Cup between May and Dawn, with Max, Norman and Caroline in Strategy With a Smile!.
Personality and characteristics
Unlike most Slaking, this Slaking appears to be very lively and active. This was shown when Norman called it over in order to send Team Rocket flying and during the Gym battle against Ash's Grovyle.

In the games
Like in the anime, Slaking is Norman's main Pokémon in the games as well, but in Ruby and Sapphire and all of the rematches against Norman in Emerald he has two Slaking, making it impossible to tell which one is his main one.
In the manga
In the Pokémon Adventures manga
Norman uses a Slaking in the Pokémon Adventures manga. He first used it when he tried to catch Ruby by trying to use Slaking's Swagger to confuse him, but he failed. Slaking was also later used in Norman's battle against Ruby's Nana, Kiki, and Mumu. It later appeared during Norman's battle with Wally at the top floor of the Sky Pillar, where it had its Ability, Truant, swapped with Norman's Spinda's Own Tempo by Spinda's Skill Swap, allowing it to both attack quickly and avoid being affected by Spinda's Teeter Dance.
