Rock Head (Japanese: いしあたま Rock Head) is an ability introduced in Generation III. Eighteen Pokémon can have this ability, most of which are Template:Type2 and most have either Sturdy or Lightningrod as another ability.
Effect
In battle
Rock Head prevents recoil damage from moves like Double-Edge, but not from use of a Life Orb or the move Struggle.
In Pokémon Colosseum, Pokémon with this ability still receive recoil damage from Shadow Rush.
Outside of battle
Rock Head has no effect outside of battle.
Pokémon with Rock Head
- In addition to these, a Blue-striped Basculin in Pokémon White obtained in a trade has Rock Head as an ability as opposed to Reckless or Adaptability.
