The Passerby Analytics HQ (Japanese: すれ違い調査隊本部 Passing Interrogation Squad Headquarters) is a building located in Castelia City, at the intersection between Castelia Wharf and the street where Castelia Gym is. The building is small compared to the other larger skyscrapers around the city, and has only one floor upstairs. However, the building has a larger billboard attached to the roof promoting the headquarters, making it much noticeable. Inside the room are several statisticians who are working to collect statistics on public opinion.

Survey requests
Players may choose to take up the job of a statistician when they visit the place for the first time. Once accepted, the player would be given the title of "C-rank statistician" and the player's C-Gear would then be updated with a function that allows the surveying of passing-by players. The head statistician will then request the player to conduct surveys of passing-by players from various questionnaires.
Upon completing requests, the head statistician will reward the player with items as a form of compensation. The player's rank may also increase based on the number of requests he or she has completed. As the player grows in ranking, the number of statisticians in the room will also increase, and their quotes may change.

Types of surveys
There are two kinds of surveys that may be performed when accepting requests, and the conditions for completion are as follows:
- Head-count surveys: the player has to survey a minimum number of people (e.g. 20 people).
- Timed surveys: the player has to have at least one successful result within a given period of time (e.g. 2 hours).
A head-count survey has no time limit and will use the total number of results stored in the C-Gear.
A timed survey begins at the time of accepting the survey request and 'ends' exactly after the required time to complete the survey. In other words, a 2-hour survey that was accepted at 1pm can only be completed after 3pm. The DS may be turned off during this period, but at least one successful result will be needed to complete the survey. If the DS clock was adjusted while a timed survey is in progress, the survey will be restarted with effect from the newly adjusted time.
It may be noted that the player may have to change to the corresponding questionnaire on the C-gear before surveying in order for the results of that questionnaire to be recorded on the C-Gear. Only one questionnaire may be conducted at a time.
