Pokémon Black and White
A wild Munna used in Fennel's research is encountered at the Dreamyard. After obtaining the Trio Badge, Fennel asks the player to bring her some Dream Mist. However, Team Plasma also wish to obtain Dream Mist, and are abusing the Munna in order to achieve that end. After they have been defeated by the player and scared away by a wild Musharna, Fennel obtains the Dream Mist and Munna is saved. Bianca then tells the player that she will go look for the Pokémon they just saw, making it a possibility that this Munna is the one later appearing under the ownership of Bianca.

In animation
Pokémon the Series
In Pokémon the Series, Fennel's Munna helps her with her research on the Dreamyard and Musharna.
Pokémon the Series: Black & White
Fennel's Munna first appeared in Dreams by the Yard Full!, when Team Rocket had awakened Musharna, whereupon Fennel noticed her eyes were suddenly glowing pink. She was then seen with Fennel, helping Iris's Axew wake up by sucking off the Dream Mist caused by Musharna and revealing Axew's dreams in the process.
Later, Ash, his friends, Fennel, Munna, and Officer Jenny rushed to the Dreamyard, where they found out that Team Rocket had caused all of the problems. Munna summoned Musharna, though it was captured by Team Rocket. However, Munna used her Psychic to cripple the machine, giving Pikachu a chance to destroy it with Volt Tackle and free Musharna.
Munna reappeared with Fennel and Musharna in Archeops In The Modern World!, where the three of them were studying an Archeops. She helped stop Team Rocket from taking Archen and Archeops.
