Gary's Eevee evolved into an Umbreon some time before EP171.
Umbreon also appeared in EP183 and EP226 under the ownership of one of the Kimono Sisters.

Name origin
Umbreon's name is derived from umbra, Latin for shadow. Eon was Eevee's proto-type name, the Pokémon in which Umbreon evolves from. Its Japanese name may simply refer to the colour of its coat.
