In the anime
In 10,000,000 Reasons to Fight!, Gladion used a Fire Memory on his Silvally to make it a Fire type, allowing it to melt the ice from Lusamine's Absol's Ice Beam that had frozen it in place.
In Getting Down to The Ire!, Gladion used the Fire Memory again in order to reduce the damage Silvally took from Kiawe's Turtonator's Inferno Overdrive, allowing him to counterattack and win their battle during the Manalo Conference semifinals.
In the TCG
Fire Memory appears in the Ultra Prism expansion. It is a Pokémon Tool card that only has an effect when attached to a Pokémon named Silvally-. While it is attached to such a Pokémon, the Silvally-GX's type is changed to the Fire type.
