Sun & Moon: Double Burst is the name given to the fifth of six asian Sun & Moon Era catch-up sets in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It is exclusively available in Traditional Chinese and Thai. The Indonesian counterpart collection to this set is the Tag Team Collection. It is the third expansion to be released in Traditional Chinese.
Information
Double Burst was first released on February 18, 2020 in Taiwan and Hong Kong, utilizing the AS set prefix instead of the previous AC prefix. It was subsequently released in Thailand on February 27, 2020. This set is composed of cards sourced from the Japanese Tag Bolt and Double Blaze expansions, as well as the associated Night Unison, Full Metal Wall, and GG End subsets, focusing heavily on TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX. It is split into two sets, Set A and Set B, each of which focuses on specific types. Set A features Grass-type, Water-type, Lightning-type, Darkness-type, and Dragon-type Pokémon, while Set B features Fire-type, Psychic-type, Fighting-type, Metal-type, Fairy-type, and Dragon-type Pokémon. The booster pack art for each set features specially commissioned illustrations by Mitsuhiro Arita and are based on the those from the Japanese Tag Bolt and Double Blaze expansions. Each pack contains six cards.
