In the Generation V games, the Razz Berry can be sold to an item maniac inside a trailer on Route 5 for $500.

Effect

Generation III to VI

Razz Berries cannot be used directly. They only have a use as an ingredient, such as for Pokéblocks and Poffins.

A Razz Berry can be held, but it will have no effect. Even if it is eaten (e.g. via Bug Bite or Fling), the Pokémon is not considered to have eaten a Berry for the purposes of Cheek Pouch or Belch.

Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!

In Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, a Razz Berry can be used from the Bag to make a wild Pokémon easier to catch. This consumes the Razz Berry.

If the wild Pokémon breaks out of a Poké Ball, the Berry's effect disappears. A wild Pokémon cannot eat a Berry while another Berry is still in effect.

Razz Berry in Pokémon GO

The Razz Berry can be used in wild encounters to make wild Pokémon easier to catch. It increases the Pokémon's catch rate by ×1.5. (Wild Pokémon can only be under the effect of one Berry at a time; the effect of a Berry fed to a wild Pokémon only lasts until it breaks out of a Poké Ball.)

Razz Berries can be fed to defenders in Gyms of the player's team to restore their motivation slightly.

The Razz Berry has been present in Pokémon GO since launch.

Description

Games Description
GO Feed this to a Pokémon, and it will be easier to catch on your next throw.

Acquisition

Level 8 and higher players can obtain Razz Berries by searching PokéStops.

From level 8 onward, Razz Berries are frequently available as rewards for increasing the player's Trainer level (prior to Feb. 16, 2017, they were available as level-up rewards for every level after being unlocked).
