:::I think I see the problem then. The #switch: function automatically assumes pipes | and equal-signs = are option dividers; since you have a full table inside the #switch:, it's entirely broken up. You'll need to replace every pipe in the table with the <code><nowiki>{{!}}</nowiki></code> template (that just sticks a {{!}} in there, but doesn't mess up the code). I'm looking, but I don't know if we have a template for the = symbol... we should probably, but I don't know where it is.

==Small Question==
Hello! I have a small question about area pages... If a Pokémon appear in a certain area in two (or  three) games of the same generation, with the same rate but at different levels (it happens a lot in DPPt), how am I supposed to put it? To clarify, here comes an example.
Lets assume that in Cave X, only Zubat appear, at level 5 in Diamond and Pearl and level 7 in Platinum. Which of the following is correct?
<code>EDIT: outdated template removed</code>
I've been using the former rather than the latter, because it was the only one I've seen until a few days ago... Like, on [[Snowpoint Temple]] and {{rt|6}} (Meowth, at night)... --{{u|Mr. Charlie}} 12:09, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
:Hmm. I'd say the latter sounds like it's more useful, but I'll need to look into it; surely we have a style guideline we use for such instances. --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 23:35, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
::I'm fairly certain we don't, Geo, but the second is much more preferable. That's why we have the option to color different boxes after all. &mdash; <small>[[User talk:The dark lord trombonator|<font color="#0000C8">THE TROM</font></small>]] &mdash; 00:04, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
:::I've been told that the latter is the correct format; if the same Pokémon is found at different levels in different games, then it gets two entries. Same if the appearance rate is different; two entries. So yeah, if you find any pages using the other format, they probably need fixing. --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 00:59, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

== Blocking ==
Hey Geo.  I figured I'd reply on your talk so you'll see it sooner.  See, there's an issue here.  What {{u|Charitwo}} considers vandalism on Wikia is very different than what vandalism actually ''is''.  Recreating a page on Bulbapedia stating the problems associated with stolen content is apparently considered "vandalism" when all it really is is a statement of fact regarding another Pokémon wiki.  No vandalism there.  Additionally, I would assume that Charitwo considers adding deletion tags onto stolen pages "vandalism" as well, when it's really just an attempt at protecting our hard work.  I'm not satisfied with all the "vandal" accounts being unblocked.  I'd prefer that they stopped stealing our content.
And as for the block time, that was a (perhaps poor) attempt at humor, since Charitwo constantly blocks users with ridiculous expiration dates.  --[[User:Politoed666|<span style="color:#30D5C8">ニョロトノ</span>]][[User talk:Politoed666|<span style="color:#FF69B4">''666''</span>]] 01:23, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
:Yeah, I'd prefer if Charitwo at least left messages for blocked accounts explaining ''why'' he blocked them, but I don't think that's going to happen. He's been around for a while, and is on quite a lot of wikis, so I'd assume he's grown used to his current method.
:Short of blocking IP edits and screening new users, I don't think they can ever completely stop copy+paste thieves; I think that's just something we'll need to deal with as it comes up. Asking them to shut down because we're already here is also probably never going to happen; Pokémon is too big for that to go over well. There's always going to be multiples of some sites. We'll just have to settle with continuing to be the better choice out there.
:I plan to keep in touch with Charitwo on this a bit, so hopefully we can at least see less accounts being blocked for "vandalism"... --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 14:39, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
== [[Celebi egg trick]] ==
I'm using this trick for long time, and I've discovered a lot of stuff about it. I've discovered that the Pokemon who will came out of the hacked Egg depends, not from the 3rd attack of the Pokemon used for the breeding, but from the 3rd attack of the Pokemon who should went to hatched from the Egg.
'''Example:''' By breeding two [[Sneasel]]s (LV57 who knew as 3rd attack the move “[[Beat Up]]”) will bring to the player an Egg, which normally it will be hatched into a [[Sneasel]] (LV5 who knew as 3rd attack the move “[[Beat Up]]”).
Now if the player hacks that Egg with the “[[Celebi egg trick]]”, then the player will receive a LV0 [[Celebi]] (the hacked hatched Pokemon), instead of a LV5 [[Sneasel]] (the normal hatched Pokemon).
The reason why [[Celebi]] appears is not because the two [[Sneasel]]s, used for the breeding, knew as 3rd attack the move “[[Beat Up]]”, but because the LV5 [[Sneasel]] (the normal hatched Pokemon), should have known as 3rd attack the move “[[Beat Up]]”.
'''Example 2 (To understand):''' I did the following test to clarify that. I caught two LV13 [[Drowzee]]s (from [[Route 34]] in [[Pokemon Crystal]]), in order to do the trick with them. They knew “[[Pound]]”-“[[Hypnosis]]”-“'''[[Disable]]'''”. I changed “[[Pound]]” with “[[Disable]]” to both Pokemon hoping to get a [[Bulbasaur]], from [[Pound]] ([[index number]]: 001), instead [[Diglett]], from [[Disable]] ([[index number]]: 050). So they had “[[Disable]]”-“[[Hypnosis]]”-“'''[[Pound]]'''”. I got the Egg and after that I saved the game. (I haven’t done the trick yet!). I’ve turned into bike-mode and run all over [[Goldenrod City]] to hatch the Egg. The Egg hatched into a LV5 [[Drowzee]] with “[[Pound]]”-“[[Hypnosis]]”-“'''[[Disable]]'''”. (As you can see, the hatched Pokemon’s moves hadn’t changed). I turned the GameBoy off and on again. I had the Egg un-hatched. I did the trick to that Egg and [[Diglett]] came out instead of [[Bulbasaur]]. That’s because the “hacked hatched Pokemon” depends from the [[index number]] of the 3rd attack of the “normal hatched Pokemon”, and not from the [[index number]] of the 3rd attack of its parents.
I hope you understood.<br>
So please re-undo my edits, or make them look better if you want. Thanks! [[User:ATEMVEGETA|ATEMVEGETA]] 18:10, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
:The reason it lists the parent's moves instead of the baby's moves is because, depending on the parent's move order, that will affect the baby's moves. (you can't switch the baby's moves while it's in the egg, so the only way to switch the index number is through the parents.) You're absolutely right in your tests, that's the same method that was originally written in the article; I'll admit, the wording may make it a little confusing, however. --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 20:39, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

== Template help ==
I'm trying to create a new template for the TFG figures, more like the dial breakdown on the official site. You can look at what I have done [[User:Nuva-kal/TFGAttackbox/Moves|here]]. First problem is probably a small one, but I can't seem to see it >_<. I would like it so when a colour is put as the "movecol" value it changes the background colour of the first cell. The second is to do with the the statbar, so when a value is entered for "prob" (e.g 45), the length of the bar becomes 45% the length of the cell (i.e. whatever value is entered, that it is the percentage it displays). Hope you can help! <span style="color:#0066FF">'''[[Surf (move)|~~]]'''</span>'''[[User:nuva-kal|<span style="color:#00CCFF">nuva</span>]]'''<span style="color:#0066FF">'''-'''</span>[[User_talk:nuva-kal|<span style="color:#0099FF">'''kal'''</span>]] 15:57, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
:I've fixed the "movcol" switch; you don't need the #ifeq command in there I don't believe, a normal switch works just fine. However, you did mistakenly leave out the little # sign for the color hex code, so it wasn't working.
:Now the other part is a little more complicated, so I want to make sure I know what you're aiming for before I do anything. The "prob" bar in there is supposed to work like a gauge, I assume? Displaying, I'm guessing, probability... if that's the case, I think I can manage that. I just need to dig through some of my coding knowledge and remember how I've made those sorts of things work before. --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 02:19, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
::Yes, a probability guage is what I was aiming for, like the gender ratios on the PokémonInfobox template, but the guage displays the equivalent length of whatever value is entered for the probability, as opposed to displaying a defined percentage like when the gender value is entered in the PokémonInfobox template. <span style="color:#0066FF">'''[[Surf (move)|~~]]'''</span>'''[[User:nuva-kal|<span style="color:#00CCFF">nuva</span>]]'''<span style="color:#0066FF">'''-'''</span>[[User_talk:nuva-kal|<span style="color:#0099FF">'''kal'''</span>]] 12:24, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

How come you put your talk page archives in the User: name space? DCM asked you this before, but you never answered. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 02:49, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Why aren't you doing everything like me? MaverickNate 02:52, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
What do you mean? I was just asking Geo a question. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 02:53, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Merely habit, Chocolate. There's really no set place that Archives should always go to, they just need to stay in the correct userspace. And to me, it looks weird to have a talk page with no article, so I simply move them there when I archive.
...Did DCM really ask that? I must have missed it. *digs through his archives* -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:56, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

I got a problem adding Sigs...

Hey-o, I was gonna try to add a custom sig, but whenever I put in the HTML code into the Signature section of my Preferences, it keeps saying Invalid raw signature.

I put it in like this, right? : --Dark Boye . I have no idea, I'm just really tired to figure it out right now... Boye 08:32, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Try using this code instead: [[User:Dark_Boye|<span style="color:red;">Da</span>]][[User talk:Dark_Boye|<span style="color:black;">rk Bo</span>]][[User:Dark_Boye|<span style="color:blue;">ye</span>]], remember to also select the Raw signatures box. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 09:50, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Ok, Thanks! Uh, is there a specific code for underlining or font size? Dark Boye 03:12, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
You can use <small></small> to make things smaller, and <u></u> will underline. There's also the option to use <font size=3></font> to change font size too (the number there adjusts the size), but do note, that's disallowed for signatures, as making the text any bigger would disrupt line spacing. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 04:55, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Oh, ok. Is there a different way to bold the Sig other than the usual? Dark Boye 06:28, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Yep, use <b></b>. Probably could put it in a <span> clause as well. Hope I helped (on Geo's behalf, anyway)! — THE TROM — 08:19, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Yep, you've got '''this''', <b>this</b>, and I believe the span class trom is thinking of would be <span style=font-weight:bold;>this</span>. Generally, the first method is the best if you're trying to make a signature, since you'll use less characters then the latter methods (always good for trying to fit a big signature into the limited space you get in preferences). But they all work just fine. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 17:00, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

this and this are still up on ImageShack, so I never deleted the images. However, we don't need talk pages for files that don't exist, so those were deleted. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:34, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Signature Help

CoolPikachu! told me you were the one to go to for help with signatures. I need the very basics. I just want a signature with a few colours, bold or italics and have the start of my name link to my userpage and the end link to my talk page. Explain in simple terms please as I am pretty bad at HTML. Thank you! - unsigned comment from Zephy.Changes (talkcontribs)

Well, first things first, you can sign with four tildes ~~~~. By default, it's a pretty basic link to your userpage; generally, if you're going to customize it, that coding is a good place to start.
In your case, you would have this: Zephy.Changes
[[User:Zephy.Changes|Zephy.Changes]]
If you wanted to, say, customize it a bit, there's a bunch of options...
Mayhaps something like this: Zephy.Changes
[[User:Zephy.Changes|<font color=purple>Zephy</font>]].[[User talk:Zephy.Changes|<font color=darkblue>Changes</font>]]
Dunno what colors or design you'd like, but perhaps that base gives you something to base off of... just note that when you put that into your Preferences, make sure the "Raw Signatures" box is checked. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:25, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Administrator Status

In order to keep our Administrator list currently up-to-date, this is a generic "are you there" message.

You've been assumed as currently active and are already marked as such, but if you disagree with this, either edit the List of administrators to reflect your status (Active, Hiatus, Inactive, or Generic), or reply here when you get the chance. -- MAGNEDETH 01:46, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

I would do generic, but the generic color scheme is really ugly. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 22:03, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
problem is, if we spice up the generic colors, would that make it un-generic? -- MAGNEDETH 22:35, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Yes, thus making the point of having generic colors null and void. So I'll keep myself marked as "active" instead. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 23:20, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Could you help me please

I can't quite seem to get this to work:User:MisterE13/Template:Unown. If you need any explanation of what the code is supposed to do, I can give you one. Also, there's already a mainspace page for it so don't bother making one.--MisterE13 22:01, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Yeh, an explanation would be good. Just a guess, it displays Unown sprites... based on the day/time? -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 22:05, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, it's supposed to do the day/time thing (mod 28) and if it's between 0 and 25, it displays the Unown sprites (with 0 being A, 1 being B, 2 being C...). Or, if the original calculation was a 26 or 27, it's supposed to display this Template:Sprite/forme/noappear. The mainspace page is here: Template:Sprite/2/26formes but it's not as davanced as my subpage that I gave you up there.--MisterE13 21:44, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
I think I see the problem then. The #switch: function automatically assumes pipes | and equal-signs = are option dividers; since you have a full table inside the #switch:, it's entirely broken up. You'll need to replace every pipe in the table with the {{!}} template (that just sticks a | in there, but doesn't mess up the code). I'm looking, but I don't know if we have a template for the = symbol... we should probably, but I don't know where it is.
A work-around would be to make that template into two seperate ones, one having the switch, the other having the table. That way, you can transclude the table into the switch, without breaking the switch code. It might be a little unwieldy, though. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 21:52, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
I got it to be made and replaced everyting on the page (even the stuff outside the switch, I was lazy :P) ). Can you see if anything else was wrong.--MisterE13 02:06, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Well you do need to keep some of the pipes in there, so the switch works. I'll take a look at it. =P -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 15:28, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Fixed it, I think. For one, like I mentioned before, you do need some of the | and = to stick around, so the switch works; it's just the extra ones that need to be transcluded.
Secondly, it took a little while to realize, but the switch options were only triggering on 25 and 27, and not on anything in-between; turns out all the extra options you had were actually being counted separately, so if it happened to choose, say, 15, it would use that option exactly. As a blank spot. So I got those working as well.
This is a lot of help if you ever run into issues like that. =D -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 15:48, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your help. Yeah I had read that before. Must not have understood "Fall through" values quite right. Also, I keep purging it but I'm not sure that the ! and ? work. Any insight.--MisterE13 16:43, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
I don't think I see those two sprites in the coding, actually. I just see the 26 letters (0-25), and the "noappear" for the last two. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 19:46, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
That's what it's supposed to do, if you can see the "noappear" then that's perfect.--MisterE13 22:50, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Poison

Sorry, just had to do it. Besides, the food poisoning incident has been interfering with me this week, so it was at least semi-appropriate. (And I did "poison" instead of "poisoned" because it would have stretched out the table otherwise). --((Marton imos)) 21:08, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

"Naked" isn't a bad word on it's own, and neither is "Tree Hugger". The name seems to be PG-13 to me at most, and that's about what we normally aim for. I did ask, I asked TTE before I did anything. He told me that I technically do have the authority to make myself the project leader of a project, and seeing as it's not a top-level project, AND I'm the oldest active member still in it, I figured it wouldn't be a problem. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 15:17, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Ash's Chimchar

I agree with your opinion on protecting the article, however, I believe that you should higher the protection level. At this moment, any registered user is able to edit it, and it's not that hard for an account to be created. Therefore, I believe that you should upgrade the protection level so only administrators can edit it, just to be safe. --Theryguy512 18:38, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

The semi-protection also limits editing to users who have had their accounts for four days, which generally cuts down on a chunk of gun-jumping edits. But I've got the page on my watchlist, if we start getting more edits to the article, I'll definitely bump up the protection level, no worries. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 16:35, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Project MoveDex anime section

I'd like to suggest that the "In the anime" section be moved down below the list of ones who can learn the move since practically everything above it already is game-related. See Aerial Ace for example. *tc26* 10:46, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, below the learnset list is a long way down, but yeah, with the new "in the anime" section style, I think it would be needed. I'll update the style and formatting section of the project accordingly, we can move the section as the templates are added in, I say. (we are using that new template from now on, right?) -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 19:21, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
On that note, since you're still working on the template if I'm not mistaken, I'll wait before I update anything. But I've updated Aerial Ace as you suggested; we'll use that move as an example for now. When the template's finished and everything's agreed on, you've got permission to edit the style and formatting on the project page yourself.
If we're going to list the anime section way down after the learnsets, however, that leaves us a bit of room; I'd suggest making the template centered on the page instead of to the left, since it won't need to worry about colliding with the normal move infobox anymore. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 19:28, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
I'll have to move everything down first before centering them though. Thanks. *tc26* 02:23, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Shadow move damage category

ht14 brought this up to TTE and he OKed it. I figured that, since you're the creator of template:moveinfobox you would be the best one to fix it.--MisterE13 01:52, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I need to get to work on that. The template already has the damage category in there for Shadow moves, but it's hidden by default; I can simply remove the code that hides it. Are all the Shadow moves already updated with the correct info? We can do that before we change the template. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 01:54, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Awesome, was going to fix the code, and it seems all you need to do is remove the spm variable from the template to display the category. So it's already done. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:03, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Actually, you did need to change the category... I was just already done most. I didn't know about the spm thing so they'll need 2 edits. No biggie--MisterE13 02:06, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I saw you add the correct category in there. But making it visible is simple enough. So we can update category and remove the variable all in one shot to display the correct category. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:08, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
All done!--MisterE13 02:26, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
BTW, what did you have in mind to display the "target" of moves? I've had some ideas but I was wondering if you had one of your own.--MisterE13 02:31, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
I was going to build it into the template, but most of the options ended up being very clunky. I decided to just keep it in the Effect section.
Unless some new simple idea comes up, in which case I'm all for it. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:49, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Check here: User:MisterE13/Sandbox. It's a basic concept that could be played with a bit. I think that page covers all possibilities though.--MisterE13 03:33, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
I saw your comment. Feel free to fiddle with the basic concept as much as you want.--MisterE13 22:10, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

I like what you did with it. Reminds me of something though. On the other hand, I've noticed that moves like uproar alternate beween opponents in double battles. Should such an option be added?--MisterE13 16:04, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Oh, that wasn't me that added that. I didn't even notice it until just now...
yeah, an alternating option should be added, I'll see about working it in there. (or I'll wait and see if it magically does itself again.) -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 00:59, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Small Question

EDIT: outdated template removed

I've been using the former rather than the latter, because it was the only one I've seen until a few days ago... Like, on Snowpoint Temple and Route 6 (Meowth, at night)... --Mr. Charlie 12:09, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Hmm. I'd say the latter sounds like it's more useful, but I'll need to look into it; surely we have a style guideline we use for such instances. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 23:35, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
I'm fairly certain we don't, Geo, but the second is much more preferable. That's why we have the option to color different boxes after all. — THE TROM — 00:04, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
I've been told that the latter is the correct format; if the same Pokémon is found at different levels in different games, then it gets two entries. Same if the appearance rate is different; two entries. So yeah, if you find any pages using the other format, they probably need fixing. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 00:59, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Oh, balls... *Prepares to redo nearly every edit has made so far* --Mr. Charlie 03:23, 23 March (UTC)

Signature Help

Can oyu please give me an idea for my signature as I am not good at writing it down. I prefer comic writing ,black or red ,a link to my talk in subscript ,funny look and it should be unique. --ProngsTalk 08:53, 23 March 2009 (UTC) PS This one is copied from Optamium.

Hmph.

For some reason my IP address[es] has [have] been identified as "tor exit mode" or something. Have I been, like, blocked without being told? Or is it the MediaWiki 1.14? ΘρtιmαtumTalk 09:21, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Oh, yeah, and I managed to post here because one particular IP hasn't been "blocked". Hm. ΘρtιmαtumTalk 09:22, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Something in the new MediaWiki; none of your IPs are blocked as far as I can see. It's a "TOR exit node", but I'm not sure why that would stop you from editing; I don't quite understand what TOR is yet. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 10:32, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Blocking

Hey Geo. I figured I'd reply on your talk so you'll see it sooner. See, there's an issue here. What Charitwo considers vandalism on Wikia is very different than what vandalism actually is.

--ニョロトノ666 01:23, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I'd prefer if Charitwo at least left messages for blocked accounts explaining why he blocked them, but I don't think that's going to happen. He's been around for a while, and is on quite a lot of wikis, so I'd assume he's grown used to his current method.
Short of blocking IP edits and screening new users, I don't think they can ever completely stop copy+paste thieves; I think that's just something we'll need to deal with as it comes up. Asking them to shut down because we're already here is also probably never going to happen; Pokémon is too big for that to go over well. There's always going to be multiples of some sites. We'll just have to settle with continuing to be the better choice out there.
I plan to keep in touch with Charitwo on this a bit, so hopefully we can at least see less accounts being blocked for "vandalism"... -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 14:39, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Celebi egg trick

I'm using this trick for long time, and I've discovered a lot of stuff about it. I've discovered that the Pokemon who will came out of the hacked Egg depends, not from the 3rd attack of the Pokemon used for the breeding, but from the 3rd attack of the Pokemon who should went to hatched from the Egg.

Example: By breeding two Sneasels (LV57 who knew as 3rd attack the move “Beat Up”) will bring to the player an Egg, which normally it will be hatched into a Sneasel (LV5 who knew as 3rd attack the move “Beat Up”). Now if the player hacks that Egg with the “Celebi egg trick”, then the player will receive a LV0 Celebi (the hacked hatched Pokemon), instead of a LV5 Sneasel (the normal hatched Pokemon).

The reason why Celebi appears is not because the two Sneasels, used for the breeding, knew as 3rd attack the move “Beat Up”, but because the LV5 Sneasel (the normal hatched Pokemon), should have known as 3rd attack the move “Beat Up”.

Example 2 (To understand): I did the following test to clarify that. I caught two LV13 Drowzees (from Route 34 in Pokemon Crystal), in order to do the trick with them. They knew “Pound”-“Hypnosis”-“Disable”. I changed “Pound” with “Disable” to both Pokemon hoping to get a Bulbasaur, from Pound (index number: 001), instead Diglett, from Disable (index number: 050). So they had “Disable”-“Hypnosis”-“Pound”. I got the Egg and after that I saved the game. (I haven’t done the trick yet!). I’ve turned into bike-mode and run all over Goldenrod City to hatch the Egg. The Egg hatched into a LV5 Drowzee with “Pound”-“Hypnosis”-“Disable”. (As you can see, the hatched Pokemon’s moves hadn’t changed). I turned the GameBoy off and on again. I had the Egg un-hatched. I did the trick to that Egg and Diglett came out instead of Bulbasaur. That’s because the “hacked hatched Pokemon” depends from the index number of the 3rd attack of the “normal hatched Pokemon”, and not from the index number of the 3rd attack of its parents.

I hope you understood.
So please re-undo my edits, or make them look better if you want. Thanks! ATEMVEGETA 18:10, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

The reason it lists the parent's moves instead of the baby's moves is because, depending on the parent's move order, that will affect the baby's moves. (you can't switch the baby's moves while it's in the egg, so the only way to switch the index number is through the parents.) You're absolutely right in your tests, that's the same method that was originally written in the article; I'll admit, the wording may make it a little confusing, however. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 20:39, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Need Help in posting News!!!!

Hello, I am a regular bulbapedia user and i want to submit a news. The source of the news is Pokebeach. sorry for the late reply.
I don't know for certain, but I don't think it's a problem. So long as you don't copy + paste from Pokébeach, just use them as a reference (and, of course, credit PokéBeach as the source). -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 01:03, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Template help

I'm trying to create a new template for the TFG figures, more like the dial breakdown on the official site. You can look at what I have done here. ~~nuva-kal 15:57, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

I've fixed the "movcol" switch; you don't need the #ifeq command in there I don't believe, a normal switch works just fine. However, you did mistakenly leave out the little # sign for the color hex code, so it wasn't working.
Now the other part is a little more complicated, so I want to make sure I know what you're aiming for before I do anything. The "prob" bar in there is supposed to work like a gauge, I assume? Displaying, I'm guessing, probability... if that's the case, I think I can manage that. I just need to dig through some of my coding knowledge and remember how I've made those sorts of things work before. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:19, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes, a probability guage is what I was aiming for, like the gender ratios on the PokémonInfobox template, but the guage displays the equivalent length of whatever value is entered for the probability, as opposed to displaying a defined percentage like when the gender value is entered in the PokémonInfobox template. ~~nuva-kal 12:24, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Usernameuser

Isn't that an unacceptable username? --Alpha TotodileRWAR!! 23:59, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Never mind, he's already blocked. --Alpha TotodileRWAR!! 01:48, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
But to answer anyway, so long as it's not profane or an obvious copy of another user, the name's okay. We don't punish for cleverness (although as that guy did find, we do block for vandalism). -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 15:27, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Well, the policy says not to have names like "User" or "Administrator" or something similar. --Alpha TotodileRWAR!! 01:20, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Actually, the policy only rules out names like "Administrator" and "bot", not "user". The reason being, if a user was named "User:Redirection Bot", it would be assumed that they were a bot, when they're not. Same with Administrator (and especially bad would be User:Administration Bot). It's okay if a user wants to name themselves User. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 04:40, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Yeh, I haven't logged on to MSN very much lately; I've been turning on my computer, checking messages, then wandering off to play other games and stuffs, so I don't bother to log in. (either that, or I'm playing Team Fortress 2, so I close my chat programs in the background.)
I'll try to log on more though. I need to log in to AIM anyway, for Bulbapedia-related matters. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 15:45, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Hello I need your help.

I'm trying to customize my sig and need to know, do you have an example that has 2 words in their username. Because when I'm trying to customize mine, I get a little confused.--Midnight Blue 00:23, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

What are you trying to achieve? Trying to make both words different colors, or have them linking to different pages or something? I can probably make a quick example if you give me an idea of what you're aiming for. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 00:53, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
I'm trying to make them 2 different colors, sorry I should of said that.--Midnight Blue 01:34, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
If you want two colors, first off you need the "Treat signature as wikitext" box checked in your Preferences, otherwise any code you put in there will break.
Coding like this should work:
[[User:Midnight Blue|<font color="#333333">Midnight</font> <font color="#888888">Blue</font>]]
That should result in this:
Midnight Blue
Obviously, you'll probably want different colors; you can replace the hex codes there with the colors you want. (you can find some web guides for hex colors if you google search it.) -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:15, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Thank you so much, I like the Midnight part, I'll just change Blue to blue. So thanks again.--Midnight Blue 05:54, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi,you asked me why i had two accounts and there is reason for it i created one account chaos2501 and it claimed there was a error so i tryed again and it didnt allow me to so i changed name to solidstate. If it bothers you this much then you could get a adminstrator to remove chaos2501 as i dont need it.--Solid! 05:59, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
