Medium

Medium (Japanese: イタコ Medium) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in Generation II games. They are depicted as old women with little ghosts floating around them in Generation II, and as old women with a large, lit candle in each hand in Generation IV. In the Japanese versions of Generation II's games, they are also shown carrying Buddhist prayer beads, which were removed in the Western versions due to Nintendo's policy on religious references.

They specialize in Ghost and Psychic-type Pokémon.
