Crossing the Battle Line! (Japanese: ヒカリはじめてのジムバトル！！ Hikari's First Gym Battle!!) is the 67th episode of Diamond & Pearl. It first aired in Japan on February 14, 2008.

Dawn challenges Maylene to a gym battle so both girls can regain their battling confidence. While Dawn and Maylene train separately, Reggie helps Ash teach Brave Bird to Staravia.

  • Dawn's Buneary is defeated by Maylene's Meditite.
  • Dawn's Ambipom defeats Maylene's Meditite.
  • Dawn's Ambipom is defeated by Maylene's Lucario.
  • Dawn's Piplup is defeated by Maylene's Lucario, and Dawn loses the match.
• Ash's Staravia begins to learn Brave Bird.
