In the anime
- Metagross was first seen in Destiny Deoxys under the ownership of Rebecca. It defended La Rousse City from some of Deoxys's "copies". Later in the movie, it helped to rotate some of the windmills that provided electricity for the city by using Psychic.
- Tyson's Metagross debuted in Like a Meowth to a Flame.
- Anabel's Metagross was seen in Talking a Good Game and Second Time's the Charm.
