Welcome to Bulbapedia, Lady Ariel!
Bulbapedia bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! ----Pokemaster97 00:09, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

If you want to edit section by section, why not edit the whole page instead of doing it by sections. It would be much easier.--ForceFire 02:16, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
I would edit the whole (like I did on the Korea event Pokemon for 2011), but with the other event pages there is so much text and coding when editing the whole page that when you use the preview button and change something after the fact then you have to scroll through hundreds of lines to find that particular section. The Korea event Pokemon only have a few events distributed each year, unlock the other countries (Japan, USA, and PAL) that have well over 20 events (USA would have somewhat less than other countries) per a given year. I make it more work by editing each section, but it prevents me from making mistakes (since you lose your place once you use the preview button).--Lady Ariel 21:21, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
You should still work on using the preview button more. Yes you might have to scroll, but just try to get used to knowing where you're at. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 20:34, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

When editing

Always remember to put the format of the image (ex:thumb), number of pixels (as to make the size of the image), position (left or right) and the description. Here's an example, thank you!

Black 2?

You're playing Black 2? If yes, do you maybe remember where was TM28? In White 2 it's on Route 4... but in that part which differs between versions. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 16:35, 2 July 2012 (UTC) PS. Where you found the trade for Petilil in Black 2 (it's on Route 4, but where specifically?)? I have White 2, so I may confirm if there is trade for Cottonee there.

Yes I am playing Black 2. I don't remember where I got TM28, but I already have it so I probably obtained it on Route 4. I found the trade in one of the houses when you first enter from Castelia City. I think it was the first one on the right, but it could have been the second one. I am pretty confident that the house was on the right side though. Lady Ariel (talk) 16:44, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

Do you know where the move relearner is? It seems to be no longer in Mistralton City... or maybe I have just bad luck. I didn't find it yet, so asking. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 18:39, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

I think the move relearner is located at the Pokémon World Tournament. I also think the Move Deleter is there as well. I don't know where they are located at the Pokémon World Tournament though. Lady Ariel (talk) 18:44, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

""Trubbish is here in White 2 instead of Minccino"

But I am playing White 2, and I added Minccino, since I encountered it there. What the? Marked +-+-+ (talk) 10:04, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

I will look into this later, but I remember encounterng a Trubbish in one of the two versions on Route 4. I don't remember if it was Black 2 or White 2, but I think it was White 2. I am not 100% certain though, but I will look into the area later today. Lady Ariel (talk) 15:11, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

Aerial Ace

Is it just my game, or does it have a new animation? The animation we have now doesn't have a red stripe-like stuff in animation... Marked +-+-+ (talk) 13:14, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

It isn't just your game (which is White 2 if I remeber correctly), but in Black 2 I have the same thing. I tested it on my Yanmega to make sure, but I also get a red stipe in the animation. Lady Ariel (talk) 14:30, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

pokemon listing on location pages

hi. according to this page:

"Lists should be organized in order of location, then highest to lowest encounter rate. If the encounter rate for a Pokémon is lower in a different game, a repeat of the entry should be made directly underneath except with that particular game highlighted (instead of in the initial entry), and the different encounter rate stated. In the case of multiple Pokémon with the same encounter rate, Pokémon should be listed in order of games they are available in, then their National Pokédex number."

even though i am not part of the project, just to let you know cause i see that you arranged them in national dex order. thanks -Pokeant (talk) 06:16, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

Trainer class moves

Did you check the games to make sure those classes were fully spelled out? -- MAGNEDETH 00:00, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

They aren't fully spelled out, but the Mt. Battle Master has no period in the name. It is just Mt BtlMaster, which just looks confusing. I think this would become very confusing even with the period, since Btl isn't a common abbreviation. Lady Ariel (talk) 02:17, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
As confusing as they are, that's what they are in the game, and that's what we use. After all, they aren't "Black" Apricorns, they're "Blk Apricorns", right? -- MAGNEDETH 02:34, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
That is true. However should the move templates be removed from the articles then? Lady Ariel (talk) 17:18, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Yes, they should. Since we're keeping the class name as it's shown in-game, the moves shouldn't even be discussed. Masatoshitalk 01:15, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

N's Pokémon and Memory Link Incomplete Article Problem

Since nobody can provide pictures to the archives if they aren't a moderator/administrator, why not check out Serebii's coverage for Memory Link? It will provide photos of N's Pokémon when encountered, as well as a flashback of the Striaton Gym Gym Leaders. It would really help people on Bulbapedia get a better grasp of what would be going on. You don't have to take directly from Serebii unless you want to ask permission to use the pictures. Zorocario (talk) 01:22, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

Images are able to be uploaded to the Archives now. I also don't think you are allowed to use any of the pictures from Serebii. Lady Ariel (talk) 02:05, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

team rocket costume section

Hey there! you are welcome to help me with my expand, as I'm currently busy with other stuff (school, work) and therefore I don't have enough time to come in here and work on it.--LHakaLH (talk) 21:31, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

I have most of the Pokémon Master Quest images already uploaded (just one more DVD to go). I already have the Orange Islands complete, but once I have got the rest of the images from Master Quest I don't have access to any other DVD sets. Therefore all of the other seasons will need images uploaded. Lady Ariel (talk) 22:05, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
You can find very good screenshots here although they'd have to be converted or saved as png files.--LHakaLH (talk) 03:18, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
I might have time to work on those, but probably not for a few months though. I have updated the page to include the roundy tables and put all of the Orange Islands and Master Quest images on the page as well. I wasn't sure what to put for the descriptions, so I just put "Insert Description". Lady Ariel (talk) 21:26, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

Celestial Tower glitch

You said you had confirmed that it was a glitch. How did you do that? I know that it happens, but it seems no different to the other special behavior Trainers (Cyclists and Bikers accelerating when you press B; fleeing Trainers in B1F of the Dreamyard; most B1F Wellspring Cave Trainers respond to the B button). --SnorlaxMonster 08:04, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

All I did was go to the 3F (I think that was the floor, but it was the floor listed in the glitch). I stood still upon entering the floor and all I did was press B, and the trainers rotated. The other floors don't do this, only the floors listed in the glitch. They all rotated one cycle (for example a trainer was facing forward and when the B button was pressed they were facing right or left) each time the B button was pressed. I don't think this was intened, because they probably would have done this on the other floors as well then. Lady Ariel (talk) 14:28, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Liberty Island.

Could you go check if it's available without Pass? Because I hacked in the Pass and could access it, but didn't checked the ship before doing that. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 09:28, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

I have checked previously, and it isn't accessible without the pass. At least I couldn't find the ship to take me there anyway. Lady Ariel (talk) 21:11, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

Vooia

Hey, can you rollback their edits to Team Charm? They're current vandalizing it, and I can't fix it since they're continuously editing it. Thanks! --It's Funktastic~! (talk) 22:13, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Stat trainers

Do you know if the Stat trainers's Battle Tower Pokémon in Platinum are the same in HeartGold and SoulSilver? I noticed that most of the HGSS content has been merged into Platinum. Still, not too sure if they are the same. PattyMan 22:49, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Unfortunately I don't know if they are the same in Platinum and HeartGold and SoulSilver. That might need to be looked into, which I can do HeartGold/SoulSilver but I don't have access to Platinum. Lady Ariel (talk) 23:09, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
I don't have access to Platinum either but I do have HeartGold/SoulSilver. PattyMan 23:11, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Why?

Why did you revert the edits of Oo Suiren oO? Mexico is in North America. - Clubchloe1 20:56, 3 September 2012 (UTC)

Mexico is technically part of Latin America, which isn't part of North America. Also the PKLATAM Jirachi is on the PAL page, which was also distributed in Mexico/Latin America. Also his edit included the Australia Keldeo, which is not part of North America. Lady Ariel 21:03, 3 September 2012 (UTC)

Missing Black 2 information

Do you know exactly what information/pictures are missing from Black 2? I'm starting my game over, and I'm gonna be keeping track of stuff to add. Thanks! --It's Funktastic~! (talk) 20:28, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

I don't know all of the images that are missing/needed, but I can list some of them. The one that is needed is an image of Rebirth Mountain in Black 2. Rebirth Mountain is also missing information about items in Black 2, specifically where the items are located and what items. Also the Nature Sanctuary is missing images from all of the seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter). Also the Victory in Black 2 and White 2 needs information of the trainers from Black 2, and maybe more information about the layout in Black 2 (since it differs). Those are the only ones that I can think of that need information, but there might be others. Lady Ariel 23:25, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

Event Trainer Classes in B2W2

I see Movie Star and Veteran Actor were added, but there's another question in my mind: what of the event-exclusive trainer classes in the upcoming PWT downloads? I'm speaking of World Champion, World Runner-Up and World Finalist. Do these still count as trainer classes or are they excluded due to their event-exclusive nature? --The Great Butler (talk) 02:40, 19 October 2012 (UTC)

They will probably be listed as Trainer Classes, but I am not 100% certain. I will discuss it with staff later. Lady Ariel 21:37, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
Those would still be classified as trainer classes. Lady Ariel 03:26, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

List of event Pokémon.

How much is left of these Pokémons before we can update pages? Marked +-+-+ (talk) 18:48, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

There is still a lot of work left to do before the remaining pages can be updated. The templates used on the Pokémon pages for events will be updated during this process, because they are severely outdated. Also as event pages are being created or added, most pages are being updated. Lady Ariel 22:07, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

posting pages

--Eatfish (talk) 00:46, 12 January 2013 (UTC) Thank you for the message!

no matter what I do I cannot post pages or start my user page. Do you know what I should do or who to ask?

--Eatfish (talk) 00:46, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

You can't create your user page or any other types pages until you have been auto-confirmed. You become auto-confirmed by reaching a secret number of edits to the mainspace, on pages such as Ash Ketchum, EP001, and Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire Versions. The Category:Articles needing more information also has a list of pages that need improved in some way. Lady Ariel 00:58, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

New

Hi.I wanted to say something related to a new page in my userpage but not here, can I contact you by e-mail? Riox*** 23:04, 26 January 2013 (UTC)

I prefer to not give away my e-mail or to receive e-mails from other users. To my understanding you are wanting to create a league. What is the intention of this league? Lady Ariel 02:43, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
Ok. Well, as we are users in this main pokemon website, and everyone in their userpage. " act" like they are in pokemon 'life' I thought that would be interesting having a page like this. Its design will be like the Unova League article with different users as gym leaders and elite four and champion. And I thought that you may be a part of this, maybe an elite four member. Riox*** 08:44, 27 January 2013 (UTC).
So, do you want to join? Riox*** 11:16, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Clarification

I did testing myself to prove that information and it is true. Do you still want me to remove it? I will if you do. Pug6666 (talk) 01:59, 9 February 2013 (UTC)

Since you have verified the information yourself, the information doesn't need removed. But in the future you should not double check your information against Serebii's information. Lady Ariel 03:01, 9 February 2013 (UTC)

European Event Pokémon 1st Generation

Sorry for my bad english, but I'm a German.I have a question,so I have see the good page with the Event Pokémon of the 1st Generation. Thanks bay the way.;) I would ask you,if you have dates of European Event distributions.(UK,French etc.)Hope you can help me,Thanks.

Sumpex4 (talk) 10:04, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

At this time we don't have any information for Generation I events that were distributed in Europe. There was most likely some that were distributed, but no information has been found for them yet. Lady Ariel 15:50, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

Re: Signature

Oh I didnt know. JasonL {talk}

Also to keep the signature the way would you like, you go to your preferences and alter you signature there so you don't have to fix it each time. Lady Ariel 01:37, 14 February 2013 (UTC)

Pokemon XD Legendaries

Actually Miror B. will never have them (you need to rebattle Greevil in the same room if you fail to catch them). Also I'm pretty sure the handheld games say "met in a distant land". - unsigned comment from BOOXMOWO (talkcontribs)

Well if that is that case with Miror B. it doesn't appear to be stated on his page, which should be fixed. The "met in the distant land" will only be displayed when they are Pal Parked to Generation IV and maybe Generation V, Generation III says "fateful encounter". The template they use is based off of Generation III, so it would use the "fateful encounter" message. Lady Ariel 22:08, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
Oh, I didn't know that, I guess I haven't played the Gen III games in a while. But why are we using what it says in the GBA games instead of the game the legendaries are actually obtained in? BOOXMOWO (talk) 22:19, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
It is more consistent with the other pages that use the G3event template. Also the template is designed for the handheld games, because it was created for events. Lady Ariel 22:26, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

Pikachu personality

Hey, so you removed "Colress controlled Pikachu in BW112, although Pikachu was able to overload and destroy the device controlling him with his electricity" from the personality section with all the other times Pikachu was controlled because it was viewed as not notable. However, I feel it is notable because it goes along with all the other times Pikachu was controlled which are also listed in the personality section. Could you please explain why this is not notable. Nuckles123 (talk) 01:56, 17 May 2013 (UTC)

Pikachu being controlled, which has happened numerous times, doesn't really contribute anything to the personality and characteristics section. The personality and characteristic section should be focused on the personality and characteristic traits of that Pokémon, and being controlled isn't really something unique to a given Pokémon. In addition, Pikachu has been controlled so many times it has become a little redundant and less notable. Lady Ariel 01:59, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
Very well. However shouldn't the other times Pikachu was controlled be removed as well or put in a different section if this is true? Nuckles123 (talk) 02:01, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
The times when Pikachu was controlled is in the personality and characteristics section merely prove that it isn't always loyal to Ash, which is common sense if you are being controlled unwillingly. However the information could be moved to the history section, but I am not sure if it is notable there either. It would probably be a better idea to ask Kenji-girl if the information should be removed completely or moved to another section on the page. Lady Ariel 02:10, 17 May 2013 (UTC)

Pokémon Tales changes

Hi. I notice you've changed the navigation links/text I had on a couple of the Pokémon Tales book articles. (FYI I reverted the first one.) I won't say my way is necessarily perfect, but I do believe it's better than what you're changing it to. IMO, it's much better to be able to immediately see which link is which (English order or Japanese order) rather than having to hover over something to figure it out.

Is the way I originally had it so bad, and it must be changed? Because if that's the case, I might have an idea, depending on what exactly you think the problem is. Or can we just stick with my way after all? Tiddlywinks (talk) 21:58, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

Numerous pages require hovering over a piece of text in order to see a little note. The way you had it wasn't so bad, but it doesn't match up with the "notes" for countless other pages across Bulbapedia. And since numerous pages across Bulbapedia require hovering over text to see something, the way I changed it to made more sense in terms of consistency. Personally I don't like either way, and I think the infobox template should be updated for this type of situation. Lady Ariel 22:12, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
I shall suggest that something like this, where it says "Charles on Route 5W2/in Driftveil CityB2", is closer to the situation here. From what you're saying, I feel like I could argue that those W2 and B2 notes should be something you need to hover over instead of being able to see it right away, and that'd be perfectly fine. But IMO it's not, neither for those W2/B2 notes nor for the EN/JP navigation text.
Rather than just doing it like I was, then, allow me to suggest doing it like those W2/B2 notes. I've edited the Togepi's Tears page to reflect exactly what I'm proposing. What do you think of doing it like that instead? Tiddlywinks (talk) 22:39, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
I think that will work. Lady Ariel 00:28, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
Okay, I'll change those in the near future. On a related note, though, do you have to change things like "5th" to "fifth"? Is that actually in a style manual or something somewhere? I just feel that the numeral draws the attention so much better than the word, and at times that's definitely the thing I want to know. ...Although, I've also suspected that those articles should actually be named something like PT## (for Pokemon Tales). I wouldn't really know how to number the specials or GS and later Tales, though... (My point being that that would somewhat lessen the value of numerals in the page's body.) Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:09, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
Proper grammar for the English language requires numbers one through ten to be spelt out. As for renaming such a massive amount of pages to use an epicode system I would suggest talking to an active Staff member. A massive change like that requires approval by staff first. Lady Ariel 03:16, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
Well, I don't hold "grammar" in quite so high a regard as I once did. =/ Anyway, I'll find a staff member, then. Thanks. Tiddlywinks (talk) 06:20, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

What is this??? Franky7

It looks like the problem here wasn't that the Italian page didn't exist, but that the link read "it." instead of "it:", causing a dead link that wasn't recognized as an interlanguage link by Bulbapedia. Schiffy (瀬藤健二) (Talk Contribs) 21:47,1/2/2014 (UTC)

Generation I events

Hey, sorry to bug you about something you did so long ago ^^' but since you are super pro at finding info on old events, I figured you were the right person to ask! From that diff I linked just now, you added that the Mew was distributed at the Canadian Pokémon Stadium Tour 2000. Is this one and the same of the United States Pokémon 2000 Stadium Tour? I only ask cause I am shocked we even had events back then (I certainly don't remember any cause I figure I would have at least read about them, we sure heard enough about the American tours in publications and stuff ^^') and especially since we got ripped off during Generation III any early events in Canada really interests me especially for the Project Globe article. So ya any additional info you have about the events would be pretty awesome cause I'd like to add it to the tour's page and to the Canada page as well. Thanks in advance!! --ZestyCactus 06:14, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

I know there is more Generation I and II events, but they haven't been added to the page yet. However most of them have no official sources, only posts from people on forums (with incomplete information). Those events were updated and added in calibration with SnorlaxMonster (as part of a major event overhaul). If I remember correctly we found a link on an archived page of the Canadian official site, but the actual news article wasn't archived. Upon that discovery we assumed the forum posts linked on the page you linked were from the tour. We know there was a Toys "R" Us Mew in Canada as well (found a person on another forum and got information from them). I will check my communication logs later and add what other information that we know about in a new post here. Lady Ariel 18:32, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
This is article from the Canadian official site that mentions the Stadium Tour (and a Mew), but it doesn't list dates or locations. Another page on the Canadian official site notes another article about the Stadium Tour, but the article isn't archived. Later searches turned up no locations or dates for the Canadian Stadium Tour though, including the French version of the official site. We also know about a Mew that was distributed in New Zealand and a second Mew that was distributed for Nintendo Power, as noted in this forum thread. We also have evidence of a Mew distribution in Finland, but the sources are from random forum posts that don't give any information. I can't seem to find any Generation II events in the communication logs that haven't been added yet. Lady Ariel 20:37, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
Sweet, thanks a bunch for the links. ^o^ --ZestyCactus 22:18, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

New Availability template

Do you happen to know if the new availability template is supposed to replace the old one completely or if older Pokémon are still to use the old one? glikglak 00:21, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

I am pretty sure it supposed to replace the old one completely, since Meowth has the new template (despite not being in the Friend Safari) and the example on the template's talk page is apparently for Spinarak (although some locations are missing). Lady Ariel 00:27, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
Aight. Guess we'll know otherwise if the staff start reverting. I'll help if/when I have access to a computer. glikglak 00:36, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

Layout borders and colors

Are borders for layout sections supposed to be 3 px and dark? Cause most layout image sections I updated were 5 px and medium, until I saw you making them 3 px and dark. See Mt. Mortar, Ruins of Alph, and Goldenrod Tunnel for instance (there are many more examples). Is there an official standard for this? If not, I was thinking we could ask a staff member about this, as consistency is desired. Jdthebud (talk) 01:06, 23 May 2014 (UTC)

Most layout section tables have a 5px and medium colored border. However, most of the tables on this wiki use a 3px and a dark colored border. So if they were to be consistent with a large portion of the other tables, then it should be a 3px and dark colored border. I am not aware of any official standards, but I don't believe a large amount of the layout tables have been updated in a very long time. Lady Ariel 15:48, 23 May 2014 (UTC)

Semicolons in item locations

Please don't put semicolons in item locations. That is not a good usage of a semicolon. A colon could be acceptable, but I actually think a comma is best to use in the item locations. At any rate, just not a semicolon. Tiddlywinks (talk) 18:09, 31 May 2014 (UTC)

Sinjoh Ruins

I saw you added the incomplete tag to the Sinjoh Ruins page saying that interior layout images are needed. However, the gallery in the article has an image already. Were you referring to the lit-up stage or the cabin or something? Thanks. Jdthebud (talk) 08:25, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

I think I was referring to the stage and the cabin, but I must have missed the stage image on the page. However, a lit-up stage image would probably be a good addition to the page. Also, I am not sure if you noticed but the MooMoo Farm article also needs interior images (both the barn where the sick Miltank is and the house). Lady Ariel 15:36, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
Cool, did the Moo Farm. Added the Sinjoh Ruins cabin as wel,; let me know if you think a Sinjoh Ruins layout section is needed. Jdthebud (talk) 19:11, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for getting the MooMoo Farm and Sinjoh Ruins images. Personally, I think the Sinjoh Ruins article looks odd without the layout section, so it probably would be better with a layout section. However, I am not really sure where the other images should be placed in the article since most of them aren't layout images. Lady Ariel 20:00, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
The way it looks now is good, thanks to Tiddlywinks. Added the lit stage one to it. Also, if you see any other HGSS locations that need layout images, let me know. I am still working on Platinum ones at the moment. Jdthebud (talk) 04:41, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Route 130

Noticed a small discrepancy in some of the trainer info you added - Is Triathlete Karsen's second Pokémon meant to be Tentacool or Tentacruel?--Cold (talk) 15:23, 13 December 2014 (UTC)

The second Pokémon should be a Tentacruel according to my notes I took from the game. It appears I just forgot to update the icon, which I will fix. Lady Ariel 16:25, 13 December 2014 (UTC)

Good Afternoon

First off, if I gave you any reason to imply that I was being unhelpful and unconstructive last week, I apologize for that (from your post on my talk page and my reply); I was not trying to do that at all and can explain the comment further if you'd like. I have something related to bring up today, meanwhile.

Last nite, I finally got to post my completed template in my userspace. It lists all 101 TMs (counting both TM94s in there) and 7 HMs. All contest data is included. Emphasis is automatically noted for all attacking moves (not for status moves, where I believe it's irrelevant). This can be immediately used as a reference for completing data on any of the TM tables to convert all "breed5" entries to "breed6" and I plan to create full tables one at a time, likewly taking 5-10 minutes apiece. This is something anyone can help with (as it will take a long time with 719, and eventually 721, Pokémon), and I welcome anyone using that template. I can provide editing directions so that the edits are done seamlessly and keep track of them via Recent Changes to follow up on any errors as well. The only things for anyone using a Pokémon's existing data to construct a full list are to include Secret Power everywhere, add HM06 where TM94 already exists (the XY and ORAS coding is on each), and use Dive as research for adding that TM since Gen. VI lists don't have it (Dive was not available in X/Y, and I will take on the Kalos set for that detail after I import all of them upon getting the National Dex).

Can you please review and determine if any other work is needed there? I'm going to start editing some pages using this template this evening, and you're also welcome to use this if you'd like in editing; just make a copy of the source to edit locally if you plan to use it to update any TM lists, then copy what you edit locally to the page being edited so that you don't accidentally save in the userspace, or even just copy individual lines if you see a page partially done (I'd just do the whole page to ensure it's correct). Usage directions would be to begin copying from where the ORAS tag is added in the header and not copy the area where the Pokémon's name and types (MissingNo., ???) are located, and the footer can either include it or not (on the template, I included it in case there are formatting changes later to the Gen. VI version, but I suppose such a change could later be bot-edited if needed across all pages). Let me know what you think! I'll start working on some tables later this evening. CycloneGU (talk) 17:10, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

I don't see any issues with the TM/HM list you made. I will most likely help update TM/HM learnsets, but I won't be able to check Dive for most Pokémon. Lady Ariel 18:42, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
For now I'm going with the presumption that Dive can be learned by all who could learn it before (and since we can move HMs from Unova, they can be imported with it anyway). I'll be checking the Kalos Pokémon after getting the National Dex; I want to catch any that can be caught in the game myself without importing them (if possible in the main map area), but I will likely import babies or final evolutions after cloning my set from Kalos. I can eventually pull them out six at a time for testing and do the list in one shot, and that will allow for easy addition to the TM lists. In my game, I have caught everything up to Route 127 except Tentacruel (waiting to evolve it), so Groudon is my next stop. I'll scan the lists and see if Kalos species can be caught anywhere (seems to be mostly Unova with others sprinkled in so far) and leave any of those not imported for now, and test everything I do import with those that I catch in-game. CycloneGU (talk) 18:48, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
Wow, every time I think that extra curly brace is gone, it shows up somewhere. I've gone ahead and checked my local copy of the template as well as the copy I made called "286" locally (that will be Surskit (correction, that's Breloom, checking 283-285 - Surskit, Masquerain, and Shroomish since they also exist on my end CycloneGU (talk) 01:28, 29 December 2014 (UTC) ), and I usually do full evos before going back to pre-evos, so 287 284 will be done first) and I can finally say those triple brace occurrences are gone from the four lines they appeared on in both copies; I just have to remember to tackle the emphasis properly now on each one! CycloneGU (talk) 01:23, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

Genesect

I added the spritebox, but it seems there's no way to put all five forms in it. Can you look into that?

Everything else I've added the box to is working so far, that appears to be the only problem to date as far as Unova is concerned. CycloneGU (talk) 19:47, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

Well, found Frillish and Jellicent missing sprites. Eventually met in the middle with S2daam as we tried to make identical edits. LOL Haven't checked any errors backwards from roughly around Vanillite downwards. CycloneGU (talk) 20:05, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
It seems the only way to get all of the sprites for Genesect is for a new template (which would be called "Template:Spritebox/6/5Forms") to be created. However, after a quick glance on the Archives the Drive images for Genesect in Generation VI don't appear to be uploaded yet. Lady Ariel 20:23, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, I noticed that as the only method as well, and that one seemed to be overlooked. There is a 6Forms version created, which is used with Rotom; I could possibly do it with Genesect as well but that would leave an empty space for the "6th" form.
Meanwhile, I started adding to Gen. IV and noted a fair number missing sprites in my edit comments, plus Finneon and Lumineon around where I once again bumped into S2daam, so I think the template is added to all IV and V now (just some sprites to find). I saw you on III and don't know the status of I or II, so will review recent changes for that activity. CycloneGU (talk) 20:30, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

Table Structure

I'm working on the Pokémon Rumble World pages in my userspace (the number of userspace edits I'm making is astronomical LOL) and have just finished and moved Gold Plateau and Silver Isles to the mainspace. I noticed you changing tables on several similar pages, I think yesterday. Do you mind taking a look at this and the four similar pages in my userspace (note: those four are not finished, but tables are set up and can be structured) so tables are set up however they are currently preferred?

The four in my userspace right now are for Diamond Crater, Pearl Marsh, Black Realm, and White Ruins. They still need more work and, given the longer time between trips, will take more time. I may try to grab the Kalos balloons soon and will add those projects at that time. It's funny, but seeing Let's Plays of the other games, I think these games are better than the ones they are charging money for. I'm actually finding it worthwhile to possibly buy Diamonds to support it. Funny, that. CycloneGU (talk) 02:28, 22 April 2015 (UTC)

I wouldn't mind taking a look at the tables, but I don't know if I will have time today to take a look at them and fix them accordingly. If I don't have a chance today I should be able to look at them tomorrow. Lady Ariel 22:23, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
No worries. I'm taking best guesses at some of the areas, and have coloured everything through the pages I've created recently. The main thing is if any have any difference in preferred template being used or whether some areas are actually different than what I've labelled (and I just don't know it's in the template). To this point, Black Realm and White Ruins are the latest moved into mainspace. CycloneGU (talk) 01:00, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

Tables

The tables on the Rumble U area pages had widths in place before I got to them, and I left them because they provide for the tables to look consistent. I did this at Pokémon Shuffle as well a few weeks ago when I split the one huge table into 13 separate tables. Is there a reason for removing them? CycloneGU (talk) 23:59, 1 June 2015 (UTC)

Well the widths created a whole lot of excess white space on the sides, which was really the only reason for removing them. Lady Ariel 00:09, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
I can see that point. Perhaps I can find a way to reduce widths on each page; the 40 was put in place on the first of the two columns, and 150 for the entire table (meaning the second column is automatically 110); if tables allow it, I could try to reduce to 130 or 140 on some pages. There may even be some that need increasing. I just never think it looks good to have the table content mashed right up against the border. CycloneGU (talk) 00:34, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
BTW, thanks for catching those. I didn't even realize I put the Shuffle tag on those. They indeed should be Battle Trozei, and that's where I'm editing, so a silly mistake on my part. CycloneGU (talk) 00:58, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Spacing

"Why is there so much excessive spacing for the Order and Pokémon columns on Stage 4?"

I want to understand this, but I'll try to answer what I can.

  • The "Order" column's excessive space, as it seems, is caused by "Order" itself. It takes up the entire width, and there is no set width.
  • The "Pokémon" column can sometimes have ten-letter names, so I am using the trick I used in the Pokémon Rumble U tables and am setting the Pokémon column for a set width. The intent is to then limit the column for the images to 40 pixels of width. I have to upload some images and preview to see how one page looks with the newer images, but I did a small test in my Sandbox (with my humour on display by calling MissingNo. appearing as "victory".

Did I misunderstand your question, or does that clarify? Also, I was about to change to the forest skin and you beat me to it; it matches the area. I have to check the next ones as I do them. CycloneGU (talk) 20:52, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

I think I just learned what happened. I didn't have "Pokémon" set, only the first of the two columns. When Abcboy made the column width removal edit, it obviously lengthened the column automatically (the text does it on wide screens), and I experimented with using table width instead with very bad results before settling on the current format at Renegade Meadow. Does that look all right to you? I will be doing the next two zones this evening with uploading images and fixing the tables for that, as well. CycloneGU (talk) 22:52, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
There is still some excessive spacing in your version (and not all tables were even the same width), but the problem seems to be the width for the "Appearance Conditions" column. I have tweaked the tables on the Renegade Meadow page, which pretty much kept the same width in the "Appearance Conditions" column. This was accomplished by removing the width from that line of text and replacing it with a table width and setting all the other columns with set widths. How does that look for you? Lady Ariel 23:44, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
Sadly, that still doesn't quite work. Looking at the most recent revision, where I've added the Typetable template (thanks for that BTW!), it looks like this. The problem is that the table columns still do not line up. Internet Explorer duplicates this.
I am starting to worry that the only way to make it work uniformly on all browsers is to make not only every column have a set width, but also have every table set in addition to that. CycloneGU (talk) 00:49, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
To clarify this better...even though you set a width for the Pokémon column, the table width makes the table decide to omit whitespace in the last column, thereby adding extra white space to the Pokémon column that is unneeded. It makes the tables inconsistent. CycloneGU (talk) 00:53, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

(resetting indent)

Let's start fresh here. I have set Appearance Conditions to the 200 width and left everything else intact. All columns now have set widths. The table has a set width of the total of the columns. How does that look? CycloneGU (talk) 00:59, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Honestly it looks the same as when I added the table width with everything lining up, except I just made the table bigger by a few pixels since Chesnaught's name went all the way to the border for me. Lady Ariel 01:09, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
So the problem might be the font size in your browser? The font I'm using is Times New Roman at a size of 16, unless Bulbapedia is overriding that. However, I don't think it's overriding because the font appears different for you, so it could be your browser font settings causing the tables to expand?
Just trying to pinpoint the problem before I do all of the other pages! =) CycloneGU (talk) 01:13, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
BTW, the current revision (with everything set) looks like this sample, though that also works without the table width set. Perhaps we just need to extend the Pokémon column. I will do that. CycloneGU (talk) 01:16, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
Never mind, I see you did that. The extra space appeared since my last picture. CycloneGU (talk) 01:19, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
All right, it looks good to me now as long as it also looks right for you! I changed Blade-and-Shield Path to match. To ensure we've nailed the format, how does that look? I still have edits to do at Colossal Forest this evening, so I'll take care of that one. CycloneGU (talk) 01:26, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
Everything looks good to me on Blade-and-Shield Path. Lady Ariel 15:23, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Tournament Timeframes

I took part in the Pikachu Cup tournament. The tournament started for me on August 20 at 8 PM. If we use GMT time, then yes, it's August 21. Technically, it finished on August 24 for users to the east of GMT. Are we using GMT as the sole time source for this? If so, I need to go revert myself on four pages.
