Blurb
Yugo dreams of the time he spent training to be a champion with Gardevoir, his partner Pokémon, but now he’s too tired and busy with work. However, some friendships and dreams are just too mega to be forgotten... ✨
Plot
In a battle stadium packed by spectators, two Trainers stand on opposite side. One sent out her Mawile, while Yugo sent out his Gardevoir. Unexpectedly, he wakes up and finds that it was nothing more than a dream of the past. He finds himself late to work as a delivery man, and quickly leaves saying goodbye to his Gardevoir. While at his truck, Yugo removes Qualot Berry toy from his bag and hangs it in the car. As he goes through his delivery, his Gardevoir hides behind the truck watching him in secret. As he made another delivery in a house where a boy and his Emolga excitedly ran over to the box he brought, he is reminded of the time he was a young boy who got injured and was healed by a wild Ralts. Feeling Pokémon then gave a Qualot Berry to him. The same Ralts then became his partner evolving to Kirlia and then Gardevoir. He is then brought back and wryly smiles at the memory when the box he delivered happen to contain the same Berry.
Yugo comes back home tired and falls asleep as his Gardevoir watches over him remembering Yugo finding Gardevoirite and immediately hooking Mega Stone to the Gardevoir's hair. It's next flashback starts when Yugo's earlier dream had, but continues into them losing the battle, and Yugo walking discouragedly away. Gardevoir comes to her senses when Yugo apologies for that through his sleep, and Embrace Pokémon knows this loss still haunts it's Trainer.
The next day it is dark and rainy outside, and Yugo, being distracted by another flashback (in which he puts his keystone into his desk inside his parents' house and calls Gardevoir into the next journey), narrowly misses a Skiddo and a Gogoat on the curvy mountain road but crashes a little into the cliff. Suddenly this cliff suffers from a landslide, and Yugo tries to stop the truck from falling. Gardevoir reveals itself and tries to help him but they are both pushed off the cliff. Yugo grabs Qualot Berry toy and then Gardevoir just in time and his hidden keystone shines along with the Gardevoirite causing Gardevoir to Mega Evolve into Mega Gardevoir. With it's power they were able to eliminate the landslide with a single Moonblast. Yugo and his partner gave a five to each other which causes Qualot Berry toy to smash. Yugo then discovers his keystone was hidden inside of it, and, having realised his partner did it, tells Gardevoir it's the greatest partner to which it responded enthusiastically. Short ends with them driving, this time with Gardevoir in the passenger seat, in the clear sun happily.
