The tenth generation (Japanese: 第十世代 tenth generation) of Pokémon games, commonly referred to by fans as Generation X, is the tenth installment of the Pokémon video game series. The tenth generation will begin with Pokémon Winds and Waves starting 2027.
Generation X was first revealed via a Pokémon Presents video presentation on February 27, 2026, which revealed Pokémon Winds and Waves.

First partner Pokémon
The first partner Pokémon of the tenth generation, like the first partner Pokémon of the previous nine regions, follow the Grass-Fire-Water trio, with the Grass-type Browt, the Fire-type Pombon, and the Water-type Gecqua.

Trivia
- The gap between Generation X and its previous generation is the longest out of any gaps between two sequential generations, with 5 years between them instead of the usual 3-4 years.
