Pokémon Spotlight: Ceruledge is a campaign promoting Ceruledge across the Pokémon franchise.[1] This consists two animated shorts, a TCG card focusing on Ceruledge, Tera Raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet featuring Ceruledge,[2] and promoting Ceruledge in Pokémon Horizons: The Series.

The campaign was announced on February 9, 2024 with the launch of the website and release of the first animated short of the official Pokémon YouTube channels and other social media.

Ceruledge:Rumble in the Ruins

Ceruledge: Rumble in the Ruins (Japanese: ドラパルト対ソウブレイズ Dorapult vs Soublades) is the first animated short of the Pokémon Spotlight: Ceruledge campaign. It was released on the American and European YouTube channels on February 9, 2024, on the Japanese channel on September 20, 2024, and on the Asian English, Indonesian, and Taiwanese channels on October 16, 2024.

A fiery rumble erupts as Ceruledge uses its great swords to wage battle against the Stealth Pokémon, Dragapult. 🔥⚔️

Plot

A battle erupts between Ceruledge and Dragapult in an old watchtower. Dragapult launches the Dreepy from its horns at Ceruledge, but Ceruledge dodges and climbs to to the top of the watchtower where Dragapult blocks Ceruledge's sword attack using its tail. Dragapult turns invisible and tries to sneak up on Ceruldege, but Ceruledge focuses its instincts and defeats Dragapult, looking to the horizon afterwards.

Gimmighoul: Gold Rush

Gimmighoul: Gold Rush (Japanese: コイン……コイン…… Coin…… Coin……) is the second animated short of the Pokémon Spotlight: Ceruledge campaign. It was released on the American and European YouTube channels on February 13, 2024, on the Japanese channel on September 25, 2024, and on the Asian English, Indonesian, and Taiwanese channels on October 23, 2024.

A fiery rumble erupts and Gimmighoul is caught in the middle of it!

Plot

This short shows an alternate point of view to the events of Ceruledge: Rumble in the Ruins. A Gimmighoul is admiring its coin, but a battle erupts between Ceruledge and Dragapult, which results in Gimmighoul's coin being thrown elsewhere. Gimmighoul keeps chasing after the coin but is keep getting out of its reach due to Ceruledge and Dragapult's attacks. As Ceruledge defeats Dragapult and looks over the horizon, Gimmighoul is finally reunited with its coin and admires it happily.

Ceruledge (Paldean Fates)

A Cosmos Holo version of the Ceruledge card from Paldean Fates was distributed as part of the Pokémon Day 2024 event, available for free with purchase at Pokémon Center, GameStop, Best Buy, and other participating retailers starting February 23, 2024. This print features the "Pokémon Day" logo stamp on the bottom right corner of the artwork.

  • The Gimmighoul: Gold Rush video was released on the English YouTube channel with the title The Gimmighoul cut exists! Presenting Gimmighoul: Gold Rush, which may be a reference to the Snyder cut.
