A short distance northwest of Cortondo, you find a woman and her Polteageist at a picnic table beneath a tree. Speak to her to find that she is tired from traveling the hilly terrain, and is just about to have a meal. She then offers some of her ingredients so that you can do the same. Before you can leave, she invites you to picnic with her and her Polteageist so that you and your Pokémon can take a rest. Doing so here restores your Pokémon to full health, leaving them ready to continue their adventure. The woman invites you to visit again anytime.
West Province (Area One) - Central Pokémon Center
West Province (Area One)'s Central Pokémon Center is located farther northwest of Cortondo, uphill from the bridge over the southbound river. Be sure to take a moment to rest before moving on, as the Open Sky Titan is said to be located a short distance away.
On the Trail of a Titan
Southwest of the Pokémon Center, the path diverges; turn northward, and you soon receive a call from Arven. He informs you that the Open Sky Titan lives somewhere up on this mountain, but there are plenty of boulders raining down, too! He warns that you will be sent flying if hit by a falling boulder, but believes that you could withstand a collision while atop KoraidonS/MiraidonV.
Picnic Time
Northwest of the Central Pokémon Center, near the western bridge, you find a man and his Goomy at a picnic table. He is happy to enjoy the scenery along with his sandwich, and gives you a variety of ingredients so that you can do the same. Like the woman near Cortondo, he invites you to picnic with him and his Goomy in order to rest your Pokémon.
The Open Sky Titan
The Open Sky Titan Bombirdier
Boulders are tumbling down from a mountain in the West Province's Area One. Perhaps a Titan wanting to keep the sky all to itself? The climb may be more challenging than the battle. —Map description
West of the western bridge, the path leads up a mountain trail littered with large rocks. Climb onto the dragon's back and use these rocks as cover to avoid the steady supply of boulders rolling downhill, dropped by a large flying Pokémon visible to the west. When the latest wave has passed, hurry across the open area and past the two large rock slabs that serve as makeshift ramps. Once the coast is clear again, hurry around the bend to escape the barrage of boulders. When you reach the top of the hill, the Titan Pokémon attacks!
VS Titan Bombirdier, Round 1
The Bitter Herba Mystica
Bombirdier is a Flying- and Dark-type Pokémon, making it vulnerable to Rock-, Electric-, Ice-, and Fairy-type attacks. Avoid using Ice-type Pokémon, as its Rock Throw attack deals serious damage to such Pokémon, and its Rocky Payload Ability boosts the power of Rock-type moves. When its health is nearly depleted, it suddenly flees from battle.
After fleeing from battle, the Titan attacks the nearby cliffside, revealing a massive cave. The Pokémon then begins eating a green-colored plant, just as Arven appears. He was able to sneak up the mountain while Bombirdier was distracted, and is ready to help take on the powered-up Pokémon. Bombirdier prepares to attack, and Arven and his Nacli join you in a Multi Battle against it.

Herba Mystica, Secured
With the Titan Pokémon defeated, Arven decides to investigate the cave before Bombirdier can return. The two of you soon reach a cavern with glowing moss and a shining, green herb: the Bitter Herba Mystica! Arven consults his book for details, and finds that the herb aids in circulation. He wonders aloud if he could slip it into a sandwich and get "him" to eat some of it, then goes on to make sandwiches for you both. He also rewards you with the Flying Badge, the second of his homemade Titan Badges, as thanks for taking on the Titan Pokémon.
The two Trainers are about to eat when KoraidonS/MiraidonV suddenly appears from its Poké Ball. The dragon sniffs longingly at your sandwich, which gives you the chance to feed it. The dragon is thrilled and Arven is again disappointed, but fortunately made extra food this time. Just then, the dragon begins acting strangely. Consuming the Herba Mystica has given it enough power to reclaim one of its abilities, and it is now able to swim as a result!
Arven turns his back for a moment, and the dragon is about to eat his sandwich as well, until he suddenly scolds it. He quickly apologizes for shouting, then decides to tell you a story. He lets his Mabosstiff out of its Poké Ball and offers it a sandwich in the hopes it will make it feel better. Arven explains that his Pokémon was seriously injured recently and has not yet recovered, and neither Potions nor Pokémon Centers seem to help. He promised to do whatever it takes to make Mabosstiff better, and has tried every remedy he could find to no effect. He then learned about the Herba Mystica from a book he found in the lab run by his motherS/fatherV. He then shows you a sketch of these herbs, and the accompanying caption.
"Area Zero was home to wondrous herbs that instantly impart vigor when eaten. We dubbed them Herba Mystica and attempted to grow some in areas around Paldea. However, before we could harvest, the herbs were eaten by Pokémon—which in turn grew large and strong. We call these Titan Pokémon."
According to this book, consuming all five Herba Mystica can cure any ailment. Arven believes the tale, and points to the fact that Mabosstiff's cold-as-ice paws warmed after eating the first herb. Just then, the weakened Pokémon opens its eyes and even makes an attempt to stand. Arven is overjoyed, and reaffirms his commitment to tracking down the three remaining Herba Mystica.
An Update from the Professor
When you exit the cave, you receive a call from Professor SadaS/Professor TuroV. The professor has detected that the dragon has regained more of its original power, and explains that it will now be able to move across bodies of water. It can also jump out of the water by pressing the B Button.
The West Province (Area One) Watchtower stands to the east of the North Pokémon Center, overlooking a field of ruins. Reaching the tower unlocks it as a fast-travel point. A copy of TM039 (Low Sweep) is located on the tower's second level, and a Chest Form Gimmighoul can be battled on the top level.
