I can't see any check for Pokémon who lost their Normal-type in favor of Fairy-type (such as Togetic or Clefairy), so they're no longer immune to Ghost-type. They were before that, though. Uploader (talk) 11:21, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, but X and Y has just come out and not many people would have it. They would need the type effectiveness of other gens.

Lightningrod redirect

The two occurences of {{acolor|Lightningrod|000}} should either be replaced by {{acolor|Lightning Rod|000}} (produces: Lightning Rod) or {{acolor|Lightning Rod|000|Lightningrod}} (produces: Lightningrod). Tiddlywinks (talk) 18:00, 28 November 2013 (UTC)

Special moves

The pages for those moves have the appropriate tables. the Freeze Dry page probably could use separate tables for when it's been affected by Normalize or Electrify like the Flying Press page does, but I don't really see a need to change the template itself. Primal Abilities

Filter

Unlike Mime Jr. and Mr. Mime, Filter is the only Ability of Mega Aggron. We may need to reflect that... (But then again, that means Mega Aggron's default weakness to Fire, Fighting and Ground is 1½; that doesn't seem to be a number we can currently set). Eridanus (talk) 08:30, 29 November 2014 (UTC)

Wonderguard

In the section for Wonderguard, shouldn't it be added that when Shedinja looses the Abilty, not only are Fighting and Normal the only types that still don't hit, but it also has ½× against Grass, Poison, Bug & Ground? - Mr. Flix | Talk to me^^ 12:13, 13 December 2014 (UTC)

I thought about this, and I'm going to say this is not necessary. Shedinja is the only Pokémon who normally gets Wonder Guard. While virtually all 721 Pokémon are capable of having it (for instance, a Pokémon activates Trace to get it, then uses Entrainment on any Pokémon), that is something better covered at the Wonder Guard page itself, not in a brief type effectiveness table note; we're not putting this note under all 721 Pokémon with notes of which types are immunities for each species, only under Shedinja where it really doesn't change anything. If another natural Wonder Guard species appears one day, it might be worth noting then. CycloneGU (talk) 22:18, 30 January 2016 (UTC)

Iron Ball

If a Pokémon that is weak to ground and is flying (i.e. Emolga) is given an Iron ball, it correctly states that they take 1x damage in gen 5 and 2x damage in gen 6 from ground. However, it also states by default that they take 2x damage in gen 4. For some pokémon this isn't a problem (like Zapdos) because they were in gen 4, but for others such as Emolga that were added later it seems odd that their type chart mentions gen 4 when they didn't exist at the time. Subpages

Shouldn't this template (along with this other one) have subpage divisions like the learnset one? Because at is it, it's pretty confusing already with so many notes and specific exceptions at the footer. Having specific tables for each generation (which could be its own subpage) would be far easier to read, and in the case of ability tables, accurate, since some abilities don't even match between games, like Torkoal's. hfc2X 07:19, 15 July 2019 (UTC)

Magic Powder effect

Someone should add the note when a Pokémon with Wonder Guard as its Ability is affected by Magic Powder:

If this Pokémon is affected by Magic Powder, only  Bug ,  Dark , and  Ghost-type  moves will cause damage to this Pokémon.

Supressed abilities

Is there a way to note that type effectiveness changes if a pokemon's ability is suppressed? For example, Mega Aggron's ability is Filter and the type chart reflects this by saying that super effective moves are 1.5x effective. However, it doesn't mention that those are 2x weaknesses if its ability is supressed or replaced. ---PinkYoshiFan 23:54, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

Adding on to PinkYoshi's point here, Mega Venusaur is a similar case, where its only possible ability affects its type effectiveness. There is a way to include notes, but abilities are usually entered as "maybe", where the note will say "If this Pokemon has this ability...", or "yes", where the note will say "If the opponent has Mold Breaker...". For whatever reason, Filter and Thick Fat are only given "maybe" notes, not "yes" notes. TechSkylander1518 (talk) 08:56, 5 May 2022 (UTC)

Needs to be updated for Generation IX.

This template needs to be updated to account for new Generation IX Abilities. These include:

• Earth Eater (Ground becomes 0x)
• Purifying Salt (Ghost becomes 1/2x)
• Well-Baked Body (Fire becomes 0x)

Add Stellar

Since Stellar-type affects every Pokemon neutrally, and so many Pokemon pages would have to be manually added otherwise, I suggest that Stellar should be automatically added into the "Damaged Normally By" section when this template is used. Nihkee (talk) 04:13, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
