The Guidebook (Japanese: ぼうけんノート Adventure Notebook), known as Journal prior to Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, is a Key Item introduced in Generation IV.

In Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, the Journal records limited notes on the player's daily gameplay activities, and can be viewed from the Bag.
