Miraidon (Japanese: ミライドン Miraidon) is a Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation IX.
It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.
Miraidon is the game mascot appearing on the boxart of Pokémon Violet.
Biology
Miraidon is a robotic reptilian Pokémon. Most of its body is violet in color, although its face, claws, abdomen, and tail are gray. Additionally, there are light blue accents on its shoulders and legs, the latter of which resemble jet engines and allow it to float in the air. Its head has a dark purple casque, circular purple cheeks, and black eyes. The eyes have pixelated yellow-cyan pupils. On its neck is a prominent circular growth that is light purple and yellow in color, with light blue streaks. Similar purple-yellow features resembling electricity are visible around its eyes and on its tail.

Origin
Miraidon resembles a robotic Chinese dragon and various lizard species, such as the anole and the genera Sitana and Sarada — the latter two are collectively known as fan-throated lizards. It also has elements of various motorized vehicles, with its casque resembling a motorcycle windshield, its shoulders being similar to handlebars, its rear looking like the backrest of a vehicle seat, and its legs resembling jet engines.
Name origin
Miraidon may be a combination of 未来 mirai (future), ライド raido (ride), dragon, don (Spanish for lord), and -don (common suffix in dinosaur names derived from the Ancient Greek word for tooth).
