Debut The Path That Leads to Goodbye!

Capacia Island (Japanese: オオキナ島 Ōkina Island) is the ninth island Ash, Iris and Cilan visited during their travels through the Decolore Islands. It is the biggest island of the archipelago.

A shrine found on the island

In The Path That Leads to Goodbye!, when they first arrived on the Island, Iris saw a field of beautiful flowers and Axew picked some for her, which she put in her hair. Later on, the group encountered a Dunsparce that Ash wanted to catch. Ash loudly challenged Dunsparce, thereby startling it, and it let out a loud Screech. Ash commanded Pikachu to use Electro Ball, but he accidentally tripped over Axew. As a result, Ash accidentally stumbled into Iris and fell, causing the flowers that Axew gave to her to fall on the ground and get crushed. Iris became infuriated at Ash for just challenging Dunsparce to a battle instead of coming up with a plan to capture it, but Ash argued with her that Dunsparce would've gotten away, causing Iris to call Ash a little kid before walking away.

Later on, Pikachu noticed apples in a tree and pointed them out to Ash, who picked five of them: one for himself, one for Pikachu, one for Cilan, one for Iris, and one for Axew. While the ones that Ash, Pikachu, Cilan, and Axew got were good, the one that Iris got was bitter, causing her to get even more furious with Ash and declare that they were no longer friends. After Iris and Axew walked away, Cilan and Ash both tried the apple she had and found out the apple was extremely bitter just like Iris had said. Later on, Pikachu and Scraggy went to look for Iris and Axew, though they were both captured by Team Rocket along the way. However, Iris and Ash worked together to save them. After Pikachu and Scraggy were safe, Ash gave Iris a flower, and she gave him an apple as a way of making amends for their argument.

In Searching for a Wish!, the group continued their journey on the island. They encountered a wild Jirachi awakening from its slumber. After this, they helped a girl named Gemma in her quest to ask Jirachi to grant her wish to make the land fertile again so her father would return home.

It also appeared in Capacia Island UFO!.
