Gyms

This page is too much for me to take on by myself. X.x; I gave up after half an hour. if anyone sees where i'm going with this, then... -greengiant

I agree, right now I'm working on getting the Official Gyms table fixed up for Unova... It's a whole lot harder then i thought it would be... -EVsAndIVsaurs (Talk) 00:46, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
I gave up -EVsAndIVsaurs (Talk) 15:30, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

It might be worthwhile to make a separate entry for each Gym... -Argy

There was another unofficial gym in "Just Add Water". Anyone remember the name of it? - unsigned comment from Blackjack Gabbiani (talkcontribs)

When did it change from {t| to {type2 ? -greengiant

I vote these articles be split off into their own pages. With game and anime screenshots, along with TCG illustrations and small summaries of the episode's they're featured in, there's enough for an article for almost every one. And this section is getting too unwieldy as it is. --Zeta 02:30, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I think we're in agreement. I'm splitting them off. --Pie ~ 07:21, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

The name of Anthony's gym is "Fighting Spirit Gym". --1-Up 22:52, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

I'd be willing to bet Makuhita's Dojo from PMD can't be merged into this... Agent 448δ | DP Fighting 13:02, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

I'm aware that this is about a year old, but the Makuhita Dojo is more of a training facility than a league gym. --Ricco 12:08, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Capitalization?

Is "Gym" a proper or common noun? The article seems to alternate between capitalized and uncapitalized, and I'd like to make sure. ~ sol 02:14, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Just sent TPCi an e-mail asking about this.--immewnitythemew 20:58, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

gym helpers?

Do you guys think there should be something about the person who is almost always standing near the entrance to the gyms in the games? 09MurphyM 19:19, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

I was just looking for a page or at least some information on this guy. But I dont think there is much that could be said about him. --Blake 02:28, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
You mean the caretaker? Aka Jim Gai. It doesn't link from anywhere though, so no wonder you couldn't find it. Better fix that :D — THE TROM — 02:30, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

"Kas" Gym?

Where did this spelling come from? I seem to recall the closed captioning spelling it as the "Kaz Gym". Do the DVD subtitles contradict that?

(For the record, as far as I could tell, the rival gym, the "Yas Gym", is indeed spelled correctly.) --Shiningpikablu252 18:08, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Trivia: Isshu Gyms

In the trivia it talks about how at one point every region had a fighting and rock gym, and yet in both it goes on to say that this is not true in Isshu. But really that just means its not true at all and in my opinion this contradiction means that it should not be in the Trivia section at all. Jas61292 04:03, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

Anime gyms

In the part about Barry having a different badge than Ash, it says Ash will most likely not obtain that one. Since the Sinnoh series is over, shouldn't we change that part? - unsigned comment from Eevee-Girl (talkcontribs)

Falner

There is a spelling error in tne johto gym section,,,,,,,,,, Falkner is shown as Faulkner..............

Please somebody correct it,,,,,Jaison Clinton Castelino 08:36, 18 January 2012 (UTC)

Symbol

a:File:Poke gym symbol.PNG Add it as a symbol of gyms? Pawel10s (talk) 19:08, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

I don't really like that image. It's not fully cropped and I don't think there's a ideal place in the article for it. --Pokemaster97 19:15, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

Moving To Pokémon Gym Page

In my opinion this should definitely be moved, the name 'Gym' just makes me want a donut... -EVsAndIVsaurs (Talk) 00:41, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

I don't belive I saw anything to say this is against policy, so unless there are any arguements I will move it tomorrow. -EVsAndIVsaurs (Talk) 17:42, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
You can't just move a page. You need to wait for discussion about the move. You can't move a page based on your own opinions. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 18:23, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
There wasn't seeming to be any discusion on the other side, and there are at least two people wanting to have it moved, so I thought that would be good enough. There needs to be something in the manual that includes moving pages. -EVsAndIVsaurs (Talk) 21:46, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
Since this is a rather large move, (it has over 500 links) it's definitely ideal to wait for some sort of discussion and staff input before carrying it out. I think moving it would be best in my opinion, but as I said before, discuss first. --Pokemaster97 21:56, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
Actually, after discussing it with Werdnae, moving the page to "Pokémon Gym" would be a bad idea and should not be carried out. Titles should be based the name they're most commonly referred as. The Gyms are almost entirely referred to as "Gyms" all canons including the games and the TCG, therefore the title "Pokemon Gym" would not be as correct as the current title. --Pokemaster97 22:52, 1 February 2013 (UTC)

Missing exteriors

Because in Pokemon Center article, shows Gen V exterior why not shown with the Unova Gyms? --HoopsterJohn (talk) 11:08, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

Season1 Episode59

Not sure if this has been said before, but in season1, Episode59 of the Anime (after Ash's defeat at the cinnebar gym), brock says "There are plenty of other pokémon gyms that're out there, ash. And none of them hang over volcano pits." confirming that there are more then 8 gyms (about 4 minutes into the ep) Basicball (talk) 23:39, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

...Yes, and? There's already dozens of stuff in the anime that also show this. Ataro (talk) 00:32, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
I know that, I simply gave one of the examples, but since it says 'suggesting that there are more Gyms in the anime than players are given access to in the games.' on the page, I was wondering if that may be changed to a sure fact - unsigned comment from Basicball (talkcontribs)
