Feint (Japanese: フェイント Feint) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation IV.
Effect
Feint inflicts damage, but only strikes a target that has used Protect or Detect during that turn, lifting the effects of Protect or Detect for the remainder of the turn in a double battle. Feint is an increased priority move, and attacks after Protect and Detect, but before other increased priority attacks.
In the anime
Pokémon
Heracross. Heracross's long horn glows white. Heracross then charges towards its opponent, ending the foe's Protect or Detect.
- Used by Conway's Heracross in Smells Like Team Spirit.
