Eevee (Japanese: イーブイ Eievui, German: Evoli, French: Evoli) is a Normal-type Pokémon.
Eevee is the "Evolution Pokémon". It is called this because it can evolve into one of several kinds of Pokémon by usage of different stones. Eevee can evolve into the Water-type Pokémon Vaporeon with a water stone, the Fire-type Flareon with a fire-stone, and the Electric-type Jolteon with a thunder stone. These are the most common evolutions; however, there are 2 more evolutions.
In Generation II and Generation III, Eevee has two new evolutions. Both of these evolutions are achieved through Happiness. It can evolve into the Psychic-type Pokémon, Espeon, if, after it reaches the required Happiness value, it gains a level during the day. If it reaches this value, and then levels up during the night, it evolves into the Dark-type Pokémon, Umbreon.

Name origin
Eevee's name may just be a shortening of the word evolution, although the term wasn't used in its Pokémon sense when its Japanese name was coined.
It has traits of foxes, dogs, and cats.
Eevee was originally going to be called "Eon," the suffix of all the evolutions of Eevee, which probably is a shortening of "evolution" too.
Eon also means a very long time; like it takes eon's for Eevee to evolve naturally.
