Pokémon Square (Japanese: ポケモン広場 Pokémon Plaza) is the central village in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, Blue Rescue Team, and Rescue Team DX. It is populated solely by Pokémon, like the rest of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world.
Places of interest
In the center of the square
Kecleon Shop
- Main article: Kecleon Shop
The Kecleon Shop is run by two Kecleon brothers. The younger, green Kecleon runs the Kecleon Shop, which sells various items, such as Food, Throwing items, and Seeds. The older, purple Kecleon runs Kecleon Wares. This shop sells TMs and Wonder Orbs. The shop starts selling different items after finishing Great Canyon, and Sky Tower.
Felicity Bank
Felicity Bank (Japanese: ペルシアン銀行 Persian Bank) is run by Persian. This bank allows the player to store money so it will not be lost if the party is defeated in a dungeon. In DX, if you make a transaction at Felicity Bank every day, Persian shall give you rewards.
Wigglytuff's Camp Corner / Wigglytuff Club
Wigglytuff's Camp CornerRTDX (Japanese: プクリンのキャンプコーナー Pukurin's Camp Corner) or the Wigglytuff ClubRB (Japanese: プクリンのともだちサークル Pukurin's Friend Circle) is run by Wigglytuff, who will sell the player access to rescue team camps/Friend Areas, so that Pokémon can be recruited for the rescue team.
Kangaskhan Storage
- Main article: Kangaskhan Storage
Kangaskhan Storage is run by Kangaskhan. This storage system allows the player to store items so they will not be lost if the party is defeated in a dungeon.
Gulpin Link Shop
Gulpin Link Shop (Japanese: ゴクリンの連結店) is run by Gulpin. This shop allows the player to set moves, link them for combos, or remember forgotten techniques. However, Gulpin cannot teach Deoxys moves it has forgotten, saying it's a "special" Pokémon. In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, this costs 150 Poké, but in Rescue Team DX, this service is free.
After completing the main story in Rescue Team DX, Gulpin will open up a new service for Pokémon to learn moves outside of their level-up and TM movepool. It costs money for a Pokémon to learn moves through this.
Outside of the square
Whiscash Pond
- Main article: Whiscash Pond
Whiscash Pond is an area to the north of Pokémon Square. Its main inhabitant is Whiscash, who tells stories to the player. After saving the world from a meteor, it is possible to access Luminous Cave from here, which permits Pokémon to evolve.
Pelipper Post Office
The Pelipper Post Office (Japanese: ペリッパー連絡所), located to the east of the square, is run by multiple Pelipper. It allows the player to send SOS mail, lend a Pokémon to a friend, send A-OK Mail, and Thank-You-Mail. In addition, at the bulletin board in front of the post office, rescue missions can be accepted.
Makuhita Dojo
- Main article: Makuhita Dojo
Makuhita Dojo is located to the south of the square and is run by a Makuhita, here the player can play mazes to level up its Pokémon.
