Water Veil (Japanese: みずのベール Water Veil) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Eleven Pokémon can have this Ability, all of which are Water type.

Effect

In battle

Water Veil prevents the Pokémon from being burned. If a burned Pokémon gains this Ability during battle (such as via Skill Swap), it will be immediately cured of its burn. If a burned Pokémon gains Water Veil by evolution or the Ability Capsule, it will remain burned, but will be cured of its burn as soon as it is sent into battle.

Outside of battle

Water Veil has no effect outside of battle.
