Rockersk08 is a member of Bulbapedia, joined on October 20th, 2008. He found Bulbapedia through Wikipedia, which he uses as a general information source. Since he found Bulbapedia more comprehensive, he switched to using it as his Pokémon source. His primary reason to join was to contribute to the anime episode summaries. He first took an interest in Pokémon when he received Pokémon Red in 1998, following up with viewing the anime.
Games
The Pokémon games started Rockersk08's interest in Pokémon, beginning with Pokémon Red on his Game Boy Pocket. Although he has owned games from each generation, he no longer has Crystal. His Gold and Silver cartridges no longer save due to dry cell batteries. He considered repairing them, but shelved the thought for newer games.
For Red, he chose Charmander as his first starter. Since it was the first game he played, he made common mistakes: not raising a balanced team, no movesets, and relying too much on Charizard. He fixed his mistakes in Pokémon Yellow, completing it with a balanced team at level 50.
Pokémon Gold increased his interest dramatically. He got it in December 2002, along with a Target-endorsed Game Boy Advance. He chose Cyndaquil as his starter. Gold was the first game where he would raise a team to level 100, although half of the team was composed of Legendary Pokémon: Mewtwo, Zapdos and Ho-oh. He played that version for three years, co-playing along with Pokémon Stadium 2. He did get a hold of Silver and Crystal, but he eventually set them down for the third generation.
Rockersk08 originally skipped over Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, getting FireRed in December 2005, his stepbrother getting LeafGreen. He once again chose Charmander as his starter, and he found FireRed much harder but more rewarding. After switching out his team, he raised his first non-legendary team to level 100: Tyranitar, Machamp, Alakazam, Lapras, Jolteon, and Arcanine. He eventually imported the team to his Diamond card, updated with Generation IV moves. He did get ahold of Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, merging all the Pokémon onto Diamond. He did, however, chose Torchic as his starter for Sapphire.
Pokémon Diamond is the current game he plays, along with the counterpart Pearl. He raised yet another team to level 100, although Dialga was on the team. He chose Piplup as his starter and he raised it to level 100, the first starter he did so with. Luxray, Golem, Alakazam, and Machamp joined the team. On his Pearl version, he chose Chimchar as his starter. Since he found out about Effort Values, he now plans to breed and raise new Pokémon for competition, but only to level 50. Once he completes his list, he plans to take six Pokémon, incorporating all four generations, and raising that team to level 100 with Effort Values for a tournament team. He reserves Diamond for link battles and breeding. He got Pokémon Platinum on March 27th, 2009, going full circle by choosing Turtwig and planning to move his critical Pokémon to that card. He is also trying to set up a tournament at his university.

Trivia
- The name Rockersk08 was originally a netname he used for online gaming. He created it in 2002 for Red Alert 2. Although the 08 defines his high school graduation year, rockersk was derived from the trainer class Rocker in the games. He threw in the letter "k" at random. In essence, the name was inspired by Pokémon!
- Rockersk08's first starter Pokémon from each generation were Charizard (Red and FireRed), Typhlosion (Gold), Blaziken (Sapphire), and Empoleon (Diamond). Although he owns every starter, these were the first picks when he started a new generation.
- His favors the Template:Type2s. He also generally balances his team with Water, Psychic, Fighting, Ground, and Electric types, although there are variations.
- His favorite Japanese opening is High Touch!, but Together2008 is a close favorite. For an English opening, it is Unbeatable.
- When he plays his games, he names the male characters after himself, his friends or hero characters, such as Jack Bauer. For female characters, he names them after his friends.
- Aside from Ash Ketchum, his favorite anime character is Dawn, closely followed by Brock's Croagunk. On the opposite end, he strongly dislikes Paul and Pokémon Hunter J.
- He supports Template:S the most, but Template:S and Template:S are also worthy.
- He has three battle partners: his stepbrother (7-3), his high school friend (3-2) and his university's anime club (0-2). He also had two more from middle school. He plans to set up a tournament at his university for the Diamond, Pearl and Platinum games. Currently, his record is 10-7.
- As Rockersk08 takes the time to raise his Pokémon, he dislikes major forms of cheating, such as utilizing Pokésav to modify stats.
- Seeing as Alakazam has been on every team, it would make sense that it is Rockersk08's favorite Psychic Pokémon.
- His first Event Pokémon was the Toys "R" Us Shaymin, retrieved on February 13th, 2009. His second one was the Toys "R" Us Regigigas on March 13th, 2009.
- Coincidentally, both days fell on Friday the 13th.
- Aside from Pokémon, he has interests in the Halo trilogy, Yu-Gi-Oh!, 24, Star Wars, Red Alert 2 and its expansion Yuri's Revenge, StarCraft, the Mega Man X series, James Bond, the Terminator series, the original Power Rangers, The Steve Wilkos Show and the RMS Titanic.
- He is currently a college freshman trying to major in Biology. He wants to become a Pediatric Dentist.
