Heat Wave (Japanese: ねっぷう Hot Wind) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation III.
Effect
Heat Wave inflicts damage and has a 10% chance of burning the target. Heat Wave hits both opposing Pokémon in double battles.
In the anime
Charizard. Charizard exhales a powerful heated breath.
- Used by Clark's Charizard in Shocks and Bonds against Ash's Grovyle and Ash's Glalie.
Torkoal. Same as above.
- Used by Ash's Torkoal from Overjoyed! to ???.

- Unusually, many Template:Type2 Pokémon can learn Heat Wave by Platinum move tutor, despite it being a Template:Type2. However, this may be because Heat Wave's Japanese name contains the word "wind".
