The Distortion World (Japanese: やぶれたせかい Torn World) is a location in Pokémon Platinum. The Distortion World has a major impact on the game's plot as Giratina inhabits this world. The Distortion World is located above Spear Pillar, and utilizes more of the game's 3D capabilities, as floors and walls are able to be traversed in many different angles and seem to spin around in different ways. It has floor-like sections floating at ninety-degree angles from each other, creating an effect similar to the art of M. C. Escher. If Giratina is brought into the Distortion World it will assume its Origin Forme, but when it leaves the Distortion World, Giratina will change back into Another Forme.
