Pokémon world locations

Liberty Garden (Japanese: リバティガーデン島 Liberty Garden Island) is an island in southwestern Unova. At the center of the island is the lighthouse (Japanese: リバティガーデンとう Liberty Garden Tower). It can be accessed via ship from Liberty Pier in Castelia City.

In Pokémon Black and White, the ship will only take the player if they have the Liberty Pass, which is an event-exclusive item. On the player's first visit, some members of Team Plasma are already there upon the player's arrival, who will battle the player. Victini can be found in the basement of the lighthouse. If Victini is defeated, or if the player is defeated or runs away from battle, then the Victini will appear once the player leaves the room and returns again; it will continue to return until it is caught.

In Black 2 and White 2, on the player's first visit, after arriving, the player will meet Professor Juniper. If the player visits Liberty Garden with Victini in the player's party, Victini will want to come out of its Poké Ball; if the player allows it to, Victini pops out, looks at several areas while dancing and calling out, then returns to its ball, with a message saying it seems satisfied.

Two hundred years ago, an ultra-rich
family bought this island.
They named it Liberty Garden.

It's a place where people and Pokémon
can live freely.

In the Pokémon Adventures manga

Liberty Garden appeared in At Liberty on Liberty Garden. Sent there to look for Victini by Professor Juniper, Black and White discovered that several members of Team Plasma were attempting to catch Victini for themselves. Using their Gothitelle's Hypnosis, they had formed a force field around the island, keeping people away from it. When Gothitelle was about to attack Victini, Black had Brav protect the Victory Pokémon. In return, Victini shared some of its energy with Brav, giving it strength to defeat Gothitelle with Brave Bird. With their Pokémon defeated and the psychic force field disappearing, Team Plasma had no choice but to retreat.

  • When selecting Liberty Garden while using Fly, its green dot is filled red as if it could be flown to. In Pokémon Black and White, this is the only location represented by this symbol to do this. In Black 2 and White 2, all locations do this.

Liberty Garden is based on Liberty Island.
