Weedle (Japanese: ビードル Beedle) is a Bug/Poison-type Pokémon.

- Often found in forests, eating leaves. It has a sharp, venomous stinger on its head.

- Beware of the sharp stinger on its head. It hides in grass and bushes where it eats leaves.

Name origin
Weedle's name appears to be a misspelling of weevil, but this is not likely, considering the difference between the two. Its name is more likely a combination of worm and needle, which refers to the stingers on its body. Beedle is similar, but refers to bees instead.
