Zero to Hero (Japanese: マイティチェンジ Mighty Change) is an Ability introduced in Generation IX. It is the signature Ability of Palafin.
Effect
In battle
After being recalled for the first time in battle (without fainting), Palafin switches from its Zero Form to its Hero Form until the end of the battle. This includes through the use of moves that switch the user out (Baton Pass, U-turn, Flip Turn, etc.), the Eject Button, and moves used by opposing Pokémon that force it to switch, such as Whirlwind, Roar, and Dragon Tail. If Hero Form Palafin faints and is revived later, it does not revert to its Zero Form.
Gastro Acid, Worry Seed, and Simple Beam fail if the target has the Ability Zero to Hero. Role Play, Skill Swap, and Entrainment fail if either Pokémon has Zero to Hero. Zero to Hero cannot be copied by Trace, Power of Alchemy, Receiver, or Doodle. Zero to Hero cannot be replaced by Mummy or Lingering Aroma, suppressed by Neutralizing Gas, or traded by Wandering Spirit.
Outside of battle
Zero to Hero has no effect outside of battle.
