Gravvy (Japanese: ゴロすけ Golosuke), known as Golosk in Chuang Yi's translation of the FireRed & LeafGreen arc, is a Golem that Yellow owns in Pokémon Adventures. Gravvy was given to Yellow as a gift from Brock, making him her third Pokémon overall. As of A Well-Journeyed Jumpluff, he is level 39 and his Characteristic is "a little quick tempered".

History

Red, Green & Blue arc

As a Graveler, under Brock's ownership

Gravvy first appeared in Onix Is On!, as a Graveler under Brock's ownership. He was shown watching the Pewter Gym matches with his Trainer.

Yellow arc

With Brock

In As Gastly As Before, Graveler was used to save a Super Nerd named Miles from a frightening black fog that was later revealed to be a Gastly. Brock later gave him to Yellow so she could better protect herself.

With Yellow

As a Graveler

In The Coming of Slowpoke (Eventually), Gravvy was used to help face against the Team Rocket Elite Trio. He later saved Yellow and Kitty from falling into the Vermilion Harbor. After that, Gravvy held the two large pieces left after Ratty had split the S.S. Anne apart with his fangs. One of the ship pieces was left hovering over the Elite Trio and Yellow used that to threaten the trio into surrendering.

In Eradicate Raticate!, Gravvy and the rest of his teammates are sent out to battle Lance and his Dragonite. Gravvy tries to use Take Down in conjunction with Omny's Water Gun and Kitty's String Shot, but Dragonite proves too strong for them all, simply knocking them away with its tail.

In The Might of... Metapod?!, during the final battle against Lance, all of Yellow's Pokémon evolved due to Yellow losing the Pokédex, with Gravvy evolving into a Golem. He was later used to battle against Lance's Dragonair, blocking its Slam attack with a Defense Curl.

FireRed & LeafGreen arc

Gravvy was seen alongside his teammates in Bested by Banette, where Yellow was shown getting ready to fight Sird.

Emerald arc

In The Final Battle VII, Gravvy helped battle all of the Pokémon that Guile Hideout stole from the Battle Tower.

Personality and characteristics

Like most outsider Pokémon given to Trainers without badges, Gravvy refused to listen to Yellow, even attacking her. However, they managed to develop a loving relationship over time, and Gravvy now follows Yellow's orders readily. Yellow mainly uses him when she needs lots of power.

In the games

Graveler appears as one of Brock's Pokémon in the Round 1 battle against him in Pokémon Stadium and in the Johto-based games. In the Round 2 mode of Stadium and in the Fighting Dojo rematches in HeartGold and SoulSilver, it is revealed to have evolved into a Golem.

Golem also appears during the Pokémon World Tournament, in the Round 1 battle against Brock of Pokémon Stadium 2, and in rematches in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!.
