What is a Psycho?
The definition of what constitutes a Psycho has changed several times since I caught the original in Red. Below are the definitions of a Psycho during each generation.
Generation I
Version 1.0
Psycho is defined as Mewtwo. Required moves are Psychic, Swift, Recover, and Thunderbolt.
Generation II
Version 2.0
Psycho is defined as Mewtwo and Lugia. Required moves are Psychic and Recover.
Version 2.0.1
Psycho is defined as a legendary, 600 base stat total Pokémon that has Psychic and Recover.
Version 2.1
Psycho is defined as a Pokémon that has Psychic and Recover, Softboiled, Morning Sun, Moonlight, Synthesis, or Milk Drink.
Generation III
Version 3.0
Psycho is defined as a Pokémon that has Psychic or Psycho Boost and Recover, Softboiled, Morning Sun, Moonlight, Synthesis, Milk Drink, Slack Off, or Wish.
Generation IV
Version 4.0
Psycho is defined as a Pokémon that has Psychic, Psycho Boost, or Psycho Cut and Recover, Softboiled, Morning Sun, Moonlight, Synthesis, Milk Drink, Slack Off, Wish, Heal Order, or Roost.
