Team Rocket's blast off is a running gag in Pokémon the Series where the Team Rocket trio loses the battle with Ash and his friends, and is sent flying into the sky by a Pokémon's attack, commonly by Ash's Pikachu's Thunderbolt.
Pokémon the Series: The Beginning
Indigo League
"Blast off" as a term first appeared in Ash Catches a Pokémon and the first "usual" blast off appeared in Clefairy and the Moon Stone. In some episodes, the trio blast off several times.
