Coral's Glalie (Japanese: サンゴのオニゴーリ Sango's Onigohri) is Coral's first known Pokémon. It is often seen outside its Poké Ball.
In animation
History
Pre-series
Glalie has been with Coral since her days as a wildcard battler, with caused her to struggle to fit in among her peers. It was present when Hamber arrived to invite her to join the Explorers on the premise that she could freely be herself among them.
Pokémon Horizons: The Series

Glalie debuted in Reunion at the Ancient Castle! where it carried Coral as she argued with Sidian over their next assignment. In the next episode, Glalie battled Liko and Roy alongside Sidian's Garganacl. Captain Pikachu soon arrived to rescue them, facing off against Glalie and Garganacl, and Glalie tried to hit Pikachu with Blizzard but missed. After Pikachu managed to push back Garganacl with Volt Tackle, an enraged Coral ordered Glalie to end the battle with Self-Destruct, and Glalie dutifully followed her commands, but Pikachu managed to escape from harm thanks to Friede and Charizard's intervention with Glalie unfortunately taking both itself and Garganacl out with its own attack.
In A Challenge from the Explorers, Glalie and Garganacl battled together once again, facing off against Liko's Sprigatito and Roy's Fuecoco. As Garganacl focused on Sprigatito, Glalie focused on Fuecoco. Despite the type disadvantage, Glalie managed to outclass Fuecoco due to its superior strength and experience, chipping away at Fuecoco with a flurry of attacks. Ultimately, however, Coral became distracted on her Rotom Phone, allowing Fuecoco to send Glalie smashing into Garganacl with Stomping Tantrum. The battle was then called off as Coral and Sidian were called away for a mission, with Glalie carrying the displeased Coral as she wanted to finish the battle.
In the next episode, Glalie battled alongside Sidian's Garganacl and Chalce's Medicham against the Black Rayquaza. Their combined attacks manage to temporarily freeze Rayquaza, but their efforts were interrupted by Liko, Roy, and Friede. When Glalie tried to attack Liko and Roy, Friede's Charizard intervened with a Flamethrower. When the Black Rayquaza was about to escape, Coral ordered Glalie to stop it with Self-Destruct, which worked, while also causing the Black Rayquaza to crash into the Brave Olivine, damaging it quite extensively.
In Put Your Heart Into It!, Coral used Glalie in a dispute against Liko, with the aim of making a cake that would please Katy. After getting frustrated with her unability to bake a proper cake, Coral ordered Glalie to use Blizzard to not only freeze her cake, but the room itself. This caused Katy to angrily reprimand her, and intimidated by her fierce and angry disposition, Coral left to avoid getting into trouble.
In Showdown! The Paldea Elite Four, Glalie was used by Coral in a Tag Battle alongside Kofu and his Wugtrio against Larry's Flamigo and Oricorio. However, Coral caused all the Pokémon to be knocked out, Glalie itself included, by ordering it to use Self-Destruct, thus resulting in her and Kofu's defeat.
In Liko and Amethio, Glalie and Garganacl teamed up yet again against Roy's Fuecoco and Dot's Quaxwell. The battle remained firmly on Coral and Sidian's side up until Grusha interfered to protect Roy and Dot from the Explorers duo. Once Chalce ordered Coral and Sidian to retreat, Glalie carried his Trainer away to return to the Explorers's headquarters. In the next episode, Glalie was used to battle against Roy's Fuecoco. The fight continued from the school classroom to the field, where both Pokemon had a clash of Flamethrower and Blizzard, with Fuecoco overpowering and defeating Glalie. After Glalie was defeated, it was kicked around by Coral who wanted to continue battling, but was soon recalled before as was forced to retreat by Sidian.
In Total-lie Awesome Pokémon in Area Zero?!, Glalie was used to battle against a Great Tusk alongside a wild Scream Tail. As it was trying to end the battle with a Self-Destruct, the Great Tusk pushed it closer to Coral and Scream Tail, sending them all flying away with the explosion.
In The Rising Volt Tacklers vs. The Explorers!, Glalie was the second Pokémon used by Coral in the battle against Roy, the battle however ended as soon as a tremor hit the place where everyone was. In the next episode, Glalie was used to battle Zirc and Onia's Pokémon that were preventing Coral and her teammates from proceeding with their plan. Shortly thereafter, Glalie was used to guard the machines Spinel built to extract the Laquium and briefly battled Amethio's Ceruledge when Amethio attempted to put an end to his grandfather's plans.
In The Strong Sphere, in the one year since the incident at Laqua, Glalie had since learned Sheer Cold and during an Exceed-sponsored event at Uirō City's Exceed's Test Center, it was used to battle Roy's Crocalor once again, this time being empowered by Laquium. After Meowscarada and Crocalor were defeated by Glalie and Garganacl, it was then interrupted by Ult and his Sableye, who attacked Glalie with Shadow Sneak when it attempted to attack Liko and Roy's downed Pokémon. Angered by the interruption, Coral recklessly commanded Glalie to use Self-Destruct, resulting in its own defeat and allowing Uruto, Roy and Liko to escape from the facility.

In Tinkatuff's Hammer Wasn't Made in a Year!, Glalie and Garganacl teamed up to battle against Dot and her Pokémon. Dot's Quaxwell struggled to face both Pokémon by himself, prompting Dot's Gimmighoul to take his place. The Ghost-type managed to keep Coral and Sidian busy long enough for Tinkatuff to forge feathers into a new hammer and evolve into a Tinkaton. Using its newly-gained strength, Tinkaton sent Glalie flying, forcing Coral and Sidian to chase after it.
In HZ130, Glalie teamed up with Sidian's Garganacl and Chalce's Medicham to battle Hamber's Dusknoir and Mow Rotom in a three-on-two battle outside an Explorers base on Mount Pericarp. Despite Dusknoir and Rotom's great battling abilities, Chalce and Medicham's clever tactics managed to defeat the two Pokémon. However, Hamber brought out his recently-caught Bloodmoon Ursaluna, who managed to defeat both Glalie and Garganacl. After Chalce Mega Evolved her Medicham, it was able to defeat Ursaluna, forcing Hamber to retreat.
In HZ133, Glalie was shown to be able to to Mega Evolve alongside Sidian's Aerodactyl, who teamed up with Chalce's Mega Medicham to battle against Roy's Lucario, Ult's Sableye, and Friede's Starmie. Glalie and Aerodactyl focused on Starmie and Sableye while Medicham focused on fighting Lucario. The battle continued during the next episode but Glalie was defeated when it used Self-Destruct in an attempt to take out Ult's Sableye, using its Refrigerate ability, only for Friede's Starmie to take the hit and get knocked out alongside Sidian's Aerodactyl.
Personality and characteristics

Glalie is a very loyal Pokémon, following its Trainer's commands without question or hesitation, in spite of how dangerous and reckless they might be, such as Glalie being told to use Self-Destruct to take out both itself and its opponents, with Glalie doing so immediately without even flinching. Glalie appears to share some of its Trainer's bad attitude, as seen in Total-lie Awesome Pokémon in Area Zero?!, where it was seen sneering at Scream Tail during its battle with Great Tusk. At the same time, Glalie can nonetheless be quite taken aback by Coral's antics, seen in A Challenge from the Explorers as it was slightly worried at Coral's unability to blend in with a crowd due to her eccentric behavior, agreeing with Sidian's comments about her.
Although Coral's personality is not something she allows herself to show, she seems to have a certain fondness for Glalie, as seen in Shine on, Terastallization! Liko vs. Roy!, where they shared a sandwich given by Sidian.
