Pokémon the Series

History

Machamp first appeared in a flashback, along with Bea's other Pokémon, in Solitary and Menacing!.

In Battle Three With Bea!, Machamp was the third Pokémon Bea used in her second World Coronation Series rematch with Ash at the Stow-on-Side Stadium, being sent out to battle his Lucario. Its Bullet Punch quickly overwhelmed Lucario's Force Palm, and Lucario's second attempt at using the same move did not yield any better results, leaving it trapped in Machamp's grasp as the Superpower Pokémon continued to pummel the Aura Pokémon with several Bullet Punches and a Cross Chop. Lucario ultimately managed to free itself by headbutting Machamp, before the two Fighting-type Pokémon clashed with Strength and Reversal.

The battle continued into the next episode, where Ash switched Lucario out for Sirfetch'd. Ash commanded a Fury Cutter attack and despite Machamp's attempts to block with Bullet Punch, Sirfetch'd managed to find an opening and score a direct hit, which prompted Bea to recall Machamp for the time being. Later, it was sent out to battle Lucario again, with Pokémon being their respective Trainers's last remaining ones. Bea Gigantamaxed Machamp in response to Ash using Mega Evolution. Lucario was able to survive Gigantamax Machamp's attacks until it reverted to normal, soon after which Machamp was defeated, making Ash the winner of the match.

In This Could be the Start of Something Big!, Machamp was used in Bea's training battle against Hop, where it went up against his Wooloo.

Personality and characteristics

Machamp is described by Korrina as Bea's true ace, evident by the fact she saved Machamp for last during her match with Ash at the Stow-on-Side Stadium. Furthermore, it is the only one of Bea's Pokémon whom she Gigantamaxes, further showing just how favorited it is amongst Bea's party. Accordingly to his status, Machamp is an immensely powerful Pokémon, being able to fight toe-to-toe with Ash's Lucario, an incredibly powerful Pokémon in its own right, and likewise withstand a multitude of attacks without fainting.
